Sky Trak 4.02 and TGC..Chipping Not registering

Hi,

I returned to my Skytrak after a few months, did the SW update and got my TGS working again. Everything is in order, except for short chipping (<15yds) when I am playing a round in TGC. I had previously used TGC 2019 for a number of months prior to taking a break and it wasn't a problem.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a set up I need to do?

It's very frustrating....currently if I m left with a 6yd chip I have to hit it 15yds before it registers

The update didn't touch firmware. As such, it also didn't touch TGC2019, so not sure what the issue is. But it is not 4.02

Then why doesn't it function as before. I can't even use my unit anymore . 75% misreads that it only picking up 1 out of 4 . How can I reverse this update ?

I googled "Skytrak old versions" and voila:

Again, extremely unlikely it is the cause, but who knows, maybe it causes network problems. But absolutely zero chance it affects TGC2019. Doesn't touch it.

I still found it very strange that I do an update of software and suddenly things are worse . Just for others to read and perhaps find a solution . I reversed back to 3.4.2 but that dit not fixe things neither . After changing USB to direct mode it works again . How this is pobbible is beyond me . Cables were not changed or moved .

Likely static. The updates always get blamed, but they haven't touched the firmware in years.

I've noticed that since late last week I've had a ton of goofy readings in TGC2019, but I don't think it's an issue with the Skytrak itself. It worked fine after the update, and on the Skytrak range everything looks normal, but in TGC all of a sudden about half of my shots are just way, way off -- I don't mean like a distance issue here or there, I mean shooting 90 degrees right or left, some shots going straight up in the air, etc. I hit a drive that showed up as a big sweeping 150 yard right to left draw with a 350 yard carry to the middle of the fairway, neither of which I can come close to pulling off. I haven't seen a any posts in the TGC area that look like what I'm seeing, but I just started looking and came across yours. Wonder if they're related?

Not sure what is going on. Try re-installing the interface.
