  • Crazy sidespin suddenly occuring

I've had my SkyTrak for a few days now - and was having a great time. However, all of a sudden all my shots are reading 1000+ RPM sidespin to the left - for all clubs! It seems insane that a pitching wedge would have over 1000rpm of sidespin and end up 30+ yards offline. A few other tidbits of information:

    - unit is properly aligned directionally
    - the Skytrak is level with the hitting area
    - the lighting appears appropriate (and hasn't changed since everything was perfect last)

    Any thoughts?

1,000 RPM side spin is only about 6 degrees spin axis. Not inconceivable for a wedge. Set it to spin axis, not side spin.

What was the launch angle? If it is very high, try moving the ball forward one inch or so. Unexplained side angle is almost always a height/trajectory issue. But false spin axis is very rare. Maybe reset the unit. Hit a few off a short tee to make sure you are hitting fat and having the face twist shut.

Thanks for all the responses. After careful analysis I have determined that I was tired and sucking. I also adjusted the height of the unit by removing the FMJ bottom screws. It was likely a combination of these factors.
