  • Par2Pro Demo - GC2 ST Compared

    Saw this today.
It's a little less than ideal positioning for both units. But as everyone who has experience has been saying, they are really close.

Pretty interesting. I always thought the gc2 put to much side spin on the shots anyways. I hit maybe a 2 yard draw outside and on gc2 it always over draws even when I watch the ballflight outside the gc2 is showing to much side spin I beleive. I even contacted foresight a couple times about the problem. Maybe the skytrak is actually closer to real than gc2

Wow, good stuff! I can't believe SkyTrak is picking that up...it's WAYYY outside the hitting area

Great stuff Cory. Skytrak is very accurate. This is a good comparison with th GC2.

          Hello everybody,

new on the forums here but have been lerking around for a couple months now reading every single thread that zmax and bubba22 have participated in before I pull the trigger on a launch monitor/ Sim software. I am 90% sure I'm gonna go with the GC2 and TGC even though it is about 5 grand more than I wanted to spend. I am gonna use a net and led TV for the time being until I get a projector and impact screen. I can't wait to start playing with you guys online.

Sorry don't want to get off topic just wanted to introduce myself. That being said I am pretty shocked how similar the numbers are with the skytrak, however the lack of putting and 3+ sec delay are deal breakers for me.

Thank you Zmax and Bubba for sharing all your knowledge with newbies like me. I couldn't imagine spending 6K and being stuck with mediocre Sim software like FSX and having to spend thousands more for a decent amount of courses.

          Thanks Again,
          Nikko

No problems. Good decision on Gc2. TGC is the best software out there. Let me give you something to think about though. Putting and chipping is a firmware upgrade for Skytrak. I am able to putt and chip. It's coming for their simulation. The 3 second delay is being improved. Simulation software is coming.

I was also under the impression that the worse the shot, the worse the readings were with the skytrak. Also I hate the idea of E6 cloud giving you a maximum number of hours you can play per month. I have also read all the delays with 2.0 and now 1.6 and outrageous prices they charge for courses in the past. I would much rather give my hard earned dollars to a company like pro tee/TGC which gives you 50,000 courses with no BS to go along with it.

Thanks for your input Bubba it is much appreciated. After pricing the whole sim room (GC2 + TGC) and doing more research I think the skytrak might Still be an option for me. Foresight quoted me 6250 for just the unit and I believe I can get them down to 6 flat but I think I am going to hold off just a little longer and piece together the room first before I pull the trigger on a LM. I really wish ST was going to be compatible with TGC as this would have made it a no brainer for me.

Simaddict getting the Skytrak is a no brainer if you want to save a lot of money for a quality unit. Get the room ready and hopefully by then the sim options will be here.
