So I received my ST today and love the accuracy/ease of use. However, it makes me nervous having it so close and slightly in front. Anyone have any protection ideas until the protective case is released? I was planning on using it with our First Tee kids but I am holding off until the unit can be protected.

WOW........... Progress. Thats exciting. With skytraks timing for releases, we should have it for Christmas.Originally posted by SkyTrak View PostIt's been a long time coming, but these will be here soon. Manufacturing started several weeks ago. Please don't ask for pricing/delivery as I can't answer that right now, but I did want to share that there is progress on this front. Thanks everybody for your patience.
Lets hurry up and wait now. Still bitter with lots of promises and no results. Not so patiently waiting anymore.

Nobody asked you to leave. Maybe you took the post personally. Let me digress here.Originally posted by SkyTrak View PostOr I could just leave....
There have been many promises of changes and enhancements with only a very few coming to fruition.
If you choose to leave, it'd be pretty weak based on my personal views. I purchased a product back in April expecting Sim and other features to be released.
So maybe I should just leave?

No one is leaving. Luv, hang in there. I have been testing the Skytrak with TGC and man you guys will love it. I know its hard to be patient but the end result will be worth it. We just need some of the higher up Skytrak officials to give the go ahead.

I second those comments... TGC with the SkyTrak is going to worth the wait. There are still a few little bugs that need to be ironed out but when it is released you will all see how well this combo fits together. I think what they are working on now is an easy way to get it out to all of you. It's not just as easy as downloading a file(at the moment). And they are trying to streamline the process to make it as painless as possible and still remain in control of the software. I think our last test session was a good one, we only found one little bug, that when reported was already being worked on. And if I know the guy working on it like I think I do, he already has it fixed. We have 1-1/2 months before we even start thinking about getting our winter tour started. So lets not jump ship just yet. This is going to be a great winter season this year and you guys are going to love this combo so much you will hate to see the snow melt. So hang tight, go to the range and the course have what fun you can while they sort things out. I really think it is close to the end of the wait. I know they are close, real close. I think as soon as they get a good method to get it out to you those approvals will come quick. I know they got some good people working on it. I can tell they are passionate about what they are doing from the conversations I have had with them. So don't think these guys are just milking this out. They want it right, just like all of us do. So if we give them the time it will be. Trust me. Or don't. Either way it will be right when you get it.
So please remain positive here. Thanks for your cooperation.Protee

Lot's experiments but I think I have the optimal protection now. The opening has been tested and it works, and yes it will stop the ball from hitting the unit.
The final design is almost done (the rendered image)
Will build one prototype with rough cut plastic sheets. (Don't have the tools required to cut it like the pro's do)
Once that has been tested I will probably order the transparent plastic from someone that has a laser cutter.
We will see, already wasted way much more time on this then I planed.1 Photo

That looks great. Do you know if the openings work for both L and R handed players? Not that I care, my setup is for RH only.
