Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

Tekbud In response to your comment about putting (I can't find the comment and when I click in the link in my notifications it says I don't have permission to view the page)I have mostly just noticed that I seem to miss just as many putts by just a few inches in TGC as I do in IRL. I did notice that one put measured 1 degree off in my last round.

Okay, played my first round today and so far so good, I really like this a lot, but there are some issues. I am hitting wedges and 8-9 irons into greens and the ball wont stop no matter how much back spin I put on it. I hit a pitching wedge from the fairway and hit in front of the green just to have it roll all the way off the back side!! This makes it really hard to imagine playing in a league or online.
Also, I have had several phantom hits while lining up, and some iron shots that literally went two feet, what happens when this takes place in a tournament? I am not getting online until I have some confidence that these issues have been resolved.
Any advice? I am having no problems with short chips and putting, for me they are great, I just cant stop a ball on a green to save my life!

I have the exact opposite issue. I never had a ghost shot and never any misreads but when it switches from normal to putting mode I am lucky if it registers one putt but after that nothing. I have to hit a 10 yard shot to get it to trigger. Anything else the red dot stays and nothing happens. Wanted to do qschool but after not being able to trigger any putt when I was 10 foot from the hole I gave up. I played 5 rounds with auto putt over the weekend and loved it but I will not be able to continue qschool or any tournaments as long as this putting issue is going on.

Been playing again today and I cannot get my putts to register with the putter but they do register when I blade a wedge/iron. I'm using a odyssey white ice #9 putter. Any ideas?

Must admit I was slightly alarmed by a comment on the other tgc thread saying some courses killed a GTX980TI, I thought those beasts could handle anything in 1080 , so possibly this person was playing in 4k??
Anyone played with i5 4670 + gtx970??
I thought my i54670 and gtx970 would do just fine

What exactly does more trees do? Isn't it the number of trees in full detail within your view? I doubt there are ever more than 1k being viewed at once.

The game was designed to be future proofed. What this means is you can turn the graphics higher than you are able to see and draw trees in higher detail at distances that are out of range. I have an i5/ GTX970. I run 1920 at high with trees at 600 yards and 1/2 tree count. I turn down object detail to 1 which is all you need. Object detail is totally unnecessary and kills your card. It's just things like golf carts and tee markers. It's a total waste. So is drawing 10000 trees 1000 yards away.

Just played three holes on St Andrews and this ball spin effect I have been asking about makes it impossible to play, had to give up, I hit greens in front of pins and ended up chipping back to the hole form the back of the green.
If this cannot be fixed it makes it impossible to play.

I've only been able to play a couple of rounds the 1st Q school I had issue with not being able to hold greens at all, played the 9 hole par 3 at magnolia national and was getting lots of stop and spin landing on the greens.
Would like to know if it's course design specific issue!

Appreciate you are trying to help us finding the issue, but SkyTrak is already looking into it: http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...k-and-tgc-bugsOriginally posted by Smudge_si View PostI've only been able to play a couple of rounds the 1st Q school I had issue with not being able to hold greens at all, played the 9 hole par 3 at magnolia national and was getting lots of stop and spin landing on the greens.

It appears that some units detect false shots and have some backspin issues.

Wife made it put it away, been at it for hours today, I will post some tomorrow. Here is what I have found:
1. chip and sand shots will stay on the green but anything not hit with a pitch or flop from around the green will not.
2. Any approach that rolls onto or hits the green in the air rolls off the back.

Been messing around with putting today. I tried taping the putter in different colours of electrical tape and that didn't work. The only way I could get the putts to register was to place the ball 6-8 inches behind the laser

Got TGC loaded up this afternoon. Setup was a breeze. My hitting area is not wide screen but more 4:3 in ratio so I've got to figure out how to get the game to use more screen real estate.
Only played three holes at Pebble Beach. Did have several phantom shots. My son had a number that didn't register. I had one but I think that was us not the SkyTrak or software. Seems my distances were a lot more realistic than with WGT as well as shot shapes. Very happy about that. I still think my driver distances are a little short. Was averaging about 250 but I'm 265-270 in real life. Hit a 300 drive last week on the real course. But I also hit a PW 140 with a tail wind of I think 14 mph which seems to be legit. Definitely looking forward to more testing!1 Photo
