Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

@ryanoneill1 - currently you cannot play with Steam, Xbox, or PS4 game version users - just Simulator users.

ryanoneill1 No, this is not possible and will not change. Concerning online play, all platforms are separated.

I don't know about anyone else, but I do not want to be playing some 12 year old with a joystick hitting 340 yard drives and eagling every hole. I would rather be playing against other golfers who are using real clubs and a somewhat viable handicap system. Maybe thats just me.Originally posted by ryanoneill1 View Postdoes anyone know if I own a Skytrak with TGC Software(when it comes out) will I be able to play John Doe on his Xbox via online play?

You raise a good point, how does TGC handle handicaps? Can you play stableford for instance?Originally posted by Spudly View Post

Guys, you will not be playing against other users with controllers/joysticks - as you mentioned...not fair. We are still in beta testing and working out some bugs, but things are rolling along nicely. As far as pricing goes, we don't have that finalized but it will be rolled into a bundle deal with the "game improvement package". I put quotes around that as we will making some changes soon to our subscriptions (for the better).

After going thru all the options, I'm thinking of going with SkyTrak for my home setup. As I understand it, right now I can set it up and hit off my superturf, with Bluetooth sending it to a Ipad via a app using the driving range option. Is there any way to send it from a I-pad to a TV monitor etc. Or can I start putting together a computer/ short throw projector and a screen to send the driving range vid to.............I have to presume, once TGC software package is released, all that and a floor mounted sensor pad will have to be incorporated into the system along with PC/vid card/projector. Thanks for thoughts.

Skytrak works through wifi, not Bluetooth. You can set I up directly or though your network. Ipad to projector can be done through direct connection or apple tv etc. Peronally I would star looking at high end among computer and HD projector if you want full, high end simulation. With TGC there is no floor mounted sensor needed.

I appreciate all the info and support that has been given to this topic. Been following this behind the scene and just pulled the trigger on the ST. I understand ST is connected to the iPad through WiFi, but how does it connect to the PC? Is it via USB or through the network as well? Also looking forward to hearing how the software will be priced. Thanks again for the support, keep up the great work!
