Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

Can anyone say what the putting is like? for me if the putting isn't realistic then I don't think its worth the money for what would really be a glamorous driving range.
I noticed in one of the WGT challenges there was a hole that demanded a 62ft putt, when I tried to hit that 62ft putt I think the ball went a few feet - I repeated the challenge with the same results.
Now I hope theres a demo so I can see for myself or failing that someone here can put their hand on their heart and say putting is correct. I hope its good.

Speaking aboout TGC only here.
Did'nt you watch any of the video's I made? Of course the putting is not like on a real green. but it is as close as your going to get. You have to make your read according to the speed of the balls/lights moving on the green grid. you can't squat down and read the putt but once you get used to reading the balls rolling on the grid you can do a fair job of reading the putts. the part that takes the least amount of time is getting the speed down. Now all the greens are supposed to have the same speed. But sometimes I wonder if the course firmness effects that? it seems they are not all the same but close. It is so much better than anything else I have played. the part that blows me away is the humps and bumps on the greens really act just like they do in real life. You can have a 30ft putt but sometimes if the lay of the land is right you only have to hit the ball as if you were putting a 10ft putt. 5 ft flat putt and then 2 ft drop over 4 yards then flat again for the last few feet. On any other software you would play that 30ft -10 ft for down hill and fire off a 20ft putt. the amount of drop was the factor not how far and fast it dropped off from. If that makes sense.
All in all I think TGC gives an accurate putt.
I have two complaints
It feels like some putts jump the hole to easy. and when you look close the ball looks big compared to the hole. On the PC version I don't notice this. And they don't jump the hole nearly as easy on the PC version. And on the PC version you see alot of balls fall in the side door. I don't see that much if ever on the sim version. It probably because I am so used to the red chain stuff were making putts was easy. Now they are rare. But the action of the ball is so much more real life now. And the greens are much much more touchy. Just like in real life. But let me remind you all that is just my thoughts and opinions. It seems everyone see's things in one way or another and I am not trying to sway anyone into anything here. watch the video's. Make your own mind up. But in this golfers eyes TGC has great, Accurate, Realistic putting.

$995 is certainly a lot better than the $1800 odd E6 imo. Brings a Skytrak and TGC well under £2500, under £2000 if you got an import demo unit. Be great if this is in October as will give a good 2 months of people up and running on the system before I have to make my mind up what to do by the end of Nov. Great that some firm details are starting to appear, be interesting now where WGT fits in.
As Hogan rightly says at the prices this costs it needs to be good, and function as a "proper simulator". I always put up with Optishot to a degree as it was cheap, from the sounds of it TGC could well be worth the money, but Im still firmly in the "wait and see" camp. Been an early adopter a lot of times, sometimes works out great, sometimes youre just a beta tester. Heres hoping the beta thats been done has ironed out 99% of the issues and the launch is exciting as it sounds.
I must admit I started to question the whole project when I saw the E6 pricing but this has peaked the interest significantly once again

TGC for SkyTrak shot delay is less than 5 seconds. At the moment its about 1 seconds slower than WGT.
The reason for this is that we have an extra processing step. We will try to further optimize this after the initial release.
This is really what it should be: https://youtu.be/Wf5jxDVjcRY

Sooooo. Do we have a date when prices are to be released? I mistakenly thought sept 15 was the date. Protee people or Seth can please chime in. Trying to ready for winter and hope this will happen soon. I understand that delays are frequent with the simulator world.....
For those thinking of purchasing skytrak I want to be clear that the range app and wgt challenges are great. I am one of those people that is pretty happy hitting balls continuously but the sim world clearly would be a great addition and the sooner the better.

First of all I just want to say I love my Skytrak. It works great and is extremely accurate! I was one of those who preordered it last year in October. The WGT challenges are a lot of fun but truly looking forward to the release of TGC!!!
I've priced out the computer I am going to build with all the high end components to run TGC. All the parts from Newegg and getting the Nvidia GTX970 graphics card from Ebay totals about $1,050.
So my question to those who may know, can I order these parts and start getting my gaming computer ready....meaning is TGC and Skytrak going to be released within a month. I don't want to pull the trigger and buy all the parts and build a computer now if the release is still several months away. So hoping somebody that may not know the exact date but can confirm and give me the green light on whether I should begin my computer build now (knowing that the release should be very soon).
With TGC, can you play with four local players all in your simulator room and not require other players from online?
With WGT, can you play with four local players all in your simulator room and not require other players from online?

Thanks for the response! What about WGT. Can you play with four local players also or only online?
Should I start building my computer? Are we getting close for the TGC release for Skytrak?

LOL... He is a big tease... But if you like those you will probably need a drool rag when it actually comes out for SkyTrak. Those shots are not even close to the best TGC has in store for you guys. It is truly amazing what these designers can do with the course designer package that comes with TGC. And the best part of it all is those guys love to make the courses and we get to play them. Those that just look for real name courses to play are missing out on the best TGC has to offer. There are so many courses that are so beautiful and so fun to play. Once you experience TGC you will soon be a fan. Those others can't even hold a candle to what TGC has to offer.
