doublebogey that's what has me nervous. It had been working fine until then. Honestly though the fall was about the equivalent of it tipping over on a hard surface. It landed on my real feel mat which is pretty cushy. If that's all it takes to screw something up internally that would be pretty sad... Hopefully Seth can help me out as I've enjoyed the unit and look forward to lots of future use since SD winters aren't great for golf.
Network Mode completely stopped working???

Ok, so constantly flashing red means that the Wi-Fi module is either not responding or it is trying to connect to an illegal SSID. If doing a hard-reset does not reset it to direct mode, I'm very curious to see what happens if you are to take the unit and go for a walk outside...what should happen is that when you get outside your network range, the unit should automatically reboot itself in direct mode. If it does not do that, then I'm thinking it's a hardware problem. I completely missed the fact that it had been dropped - that very well could have damaged the Wi-Fi module.

SkyTrak_Seth, Seth if I can't get it to reset, what are my options for sending the unit back for repair. I've seen in on another thread about a possible back in play option. Also was the warranty 6 months? Thanks for all your help.

Have you tried what Seth has suggested? Take it one step at a time.Originally posted by jjkoolman View PostSkyTrak_Seth, Seth if I can't get it to reset, what are my options for sending the unit back for repair. Well for anyone that is interested, I tried what Seth suggested, by taking the SkyTrak for a joy ride to see if i could get it to forget my home network. After reseting the Skytrak again and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I turned on the unit and the same problem occurred. The middle light constantly blinks red and I am unable to connect at all. It appears I've turned my $2000 unit into a paper weight with a simple 2 ft drop onto a soft padded mat... Seth what is my next step, as right now it is entirely useless. Thanks.

doublebogey Had I known the SkyTrak was that delicate I'm not sure I would have even gotten it out of the box without having a protective case for it... I really hope that my situation was just a fluke or they are going to have lots of repairs as I can't imagine I'll be the only one to knock it over or drop it a small bit. Bubba22 Yes i've tried reseting the network. That is what I originally thought was the issue. So I reset the network multiple times making sure that my original password that the SkyTrak would have "remembered" was consistent. Thanks for the help guys.

I'm sure you've tried this, but gotta ask anyway.....
Did you reset the skytrak using a paperclip/needle/ect at the bottom of the skytrak?
Did you delete the skytrak app completely from your ipad and re-install?
If after that and resetting your network hasn't worked, I feel for you and hope that you can get your unit up an running without much delay.
Can you connect in Direct Mode?

luv2golf - I've gone through all those without any success the SkyTrak doesnt change at all.. it continues to blink red. I can't connect in Direct mode, because the SkyTrak wifi that you connect to doesn't show up in my wifi stack. It is permanently stuck in Network mode and continuously tries to connect.

I think at this point, we would need to get the unit in for repair. If you send me a PM with your name, address, email address, and serial number (on the bottom REE*****), then I will make sure it gets expedited for you.
