SkyTrak Shots with no Swing Issue

I’ve been scrolling through the forum and haven’t seen anyone post about this, so maybe it’s my setup or an issue with my unit. But lately, the unit has been reading shots even though no one hit the ball. I walked away from the unit for about 10 mins, left it on and came back and the system thought about 15 shots happened. It happens even more when playing TGC.

Anyone experience this? It rarely happened for the first 7 months, and now it’s happening multiple times during range sessions on SkyTrak app and multiple times during rounds in TGC.

I just had this happen yesterday for the first time ever. I was on the Skytrak range, using the Randomizer. Only happened one time. I went to switch clubs and as I grabbed a club it registered a shot, if I recall it went about 75 yards so not like a ball rolled past the unit. I usually rave about not having missed shots/no reads/mis-reads with my set up, this was an odd one!!!

My set up has a completely black background, no idea what would have caused this.

Exactly. Rarely ever happened for me. If it did, it was because my club or foot got too close when walking by. Very rare though. But now, it’s too much.

Nice setup. Ours is outside, so that may be why too… but it’s always been fine and no change to setup. So it seems more hardware or software than setup.

I really like the idea of aiming for the neighbours window but having the net save you.

Just change the net often and all is good!

I am not the original poster but did reply to the thread because it did happen to me as well. However, it only did it one time and has not done it since. I still can not explain why it happened.

Extremely rare in Skytrak range from what I know. Would happen quite a bit in TGC original, not sure about 2019.

Are you using the latest software version?

I’ll check, but I believe when I looked last week it was… but I may have been looking at the software program and not the hardware updates.
