  • Skytrak 100% failure picking up shots

    I have used skytrak without issue since 2018. Sure, every now and then it wouldn't pick up my shot but really worked great until about a week ago. It started slowly not picking up shots until now it won't even pickup one shot. During this week I've had to move my ball closer to the unit when it would work to the point I had to move it 5 inches from the red dot but now it doesn't even pick up one shot. I've tried all of the forum fixes to no avail. Here are some facts:
    • I'm right handed
    • All lights are green
    • The top light will go out for a second and back on without picking up the shot
    • If I switch it to left-handed, it picks up every shot placing the ball on the red dot.

    Anyone else have this issue?

    Right-hand laser curtain is probably toast.

      Put the unit into LH user mode and place it between you and the ball and swing over the top. If it works again the curtain is out and if you only use it for RH players, you could swap at your own risk. There are instructions here if you search .

        Very good thanks! My group is all RH so very interested in swapping the two, so I'll look for the instructions and will perhaps give it a shot!

          Do you off set the ball on the screen. If so try reset in the off set part and reline it again. I had this problem and it started working again.

              Mine is missing tons of shots. Odd results on some of the shots it picks up as well. I connected to the mobile app and my distances were higher (more accurate) than when I have it running on my laptop? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, I've done a factory restart of the unit, I connect with USB and in Network mode and still have problems. I was online with Skytrack and they said they were going to pass my info to a manager so I can send in my unit, but haven't heard back as of yet. When you call they say they are experiencing higher than normal call volumes, a sign that something is up.

                I can think of zero reasons why you'd get different results. If the algorithms are identical, identical results. Most likely coincidence. Connection method will affect read rate, but not distance. The call volume is up because of the recent update ... which many had trouble with.

              As others have mentioned, I bet the RH laser curtain (which triggers the unit) is on its way out. I think it probably needs to be sent in for repair.
