  • Back spin and side spin numbers changing when reviewing Skytrak data

As I was trying to figure out my low spin issues as documented in another posting I came across something very unusual. Most folks know that if you click on the side spin/axis data you can toggle the data back and forth between side spin/back spin numbers and spin axis/total spin numbers. What I discovered is that the numbers don't repeat as you toggle back and forth.

I have attached 4 screen shots from two different shots.

The first two pics show that the spin axis does not repeat as you toggle to side spin and then back to spin axis, note that the total spin does not repeat as well. Both of these screen shots are from the same shot, Just toggled the view to see side spin and then back to spin axis. It should be the same. I would say that the top pic is correct, The 7 degree left spin was the first view, it then showed 11 degrees right when I toggled back. This is what caught my eye at first because it was obviously wrong. I then I started looking into it more.

The next two pics are from a second shot and show the same thing happening with side spin and back spin. When toggling to spin axis and then back to side spin the number are different. Both of these screen shots are from the same shot, Just toggled the view to see sin axis and then back to side spin. It should be the same.

This is happening on every single shot. Which is correct?? All other data seems to be the same as you toggle from one screen to the next and then back. Which numbers get reported to TGC when playing SIM golf?

This is very concerning, it makes me feel that I can not trust my Skytrak anymore.

Morini , any thoughts on this? I realize that you have a lot of knowledge of the system.

I already reported this bug to Skytrak sometime before the two updates and I think it was fixed in the previous version.
      Apparently the bug is back.

Mirek_62 , very interesting. Thanks for answering. I wonder which number gets reported to TGC when playing Sim golf.

jpotas I think there is a bug in the Skytrak program, where when you go back, the data of the previous shot is displayed. At least that's how it was last time. I don't think it affects the other programs.
