  • 1 minute delays between shots since Skytrak software update last month

    Hi everyone. I use the Skytrak frequently. Since the software update last month, when I'm on the range, I get a tracer of the shot at the appropriate time delay interval. However, now there's a roughly 30 seconds to one minute pause before displaying the numerical data at the bottom of the screen and getting ready for the next shot. This never happened before the software update. Any advice? SkyTrak_Seth ? Is there a way to switch back to the old software?

    I have been asked to try an hard reset on the unit to see if it solve the problem. Will let you know if it does ...

      I tried erasing the cache, and it only worked for a short while, maybe 20-30 min, before it got slow again. Is Skytrak working on this?

        Same problem here. After deleting cache and letting it sync it's fine for a while.. and then back to slow.

          Same problem here. Has become very frustrating. I've tried the posted solutions but they don't have any lasting effect.

            As a reseller, after few talks with Skytrak support, this problem is first priority for Golftech now to get a App update on this buggy 4.3

            Hope it will come soon ...

              Hi All, we think the problem may have to do with syncing too many shots at the same time from scratch (which is why your problem comes back after a local db clear). The server team made a change that hopefully fixes this. We have tested it well with several users, and while not final, I would love to see if the problem still exists for you guys.

                The lag problem seems somewhat better this morning. Not back to usual fairly snappy performance but substantially better than lately. Keep up the good work, appreciate your input on the forum.

                  Back to pretty slow today. Frustrating, you can’t really get a groove going with all of the standing around waiting for it to reset for a new shot.

                Hello all,
                I am currently waiting on my Skytrak unit to be delivered “upgrading from Optishot2” or at least I thought I was. After reading all of these post about the lag time I’m wondering if I made a mistake. Would very much like to hear more input from lengthy owners of Skytrak as I can still return my unit. If the bug fix is legitimate and things appear to be getting better, could some of you give me some insight on which course software is recommended,or preferred over another, I would really appreciate the feedback.

                  A very small number of users are experiencing this issue, and it is not related to hardware, but rather back end changes related to the migration to Golftec servers. At this particular time, there are two sim options, and once can't be mentioned directly in this forum. Lot's of info on that in the Skytrak facebook group.

                  I honestly feel the glitches are just a passing problem from the Golftec buyout. I’ve had my ST for five years and it’s been dependable and the couple times I needed customer service they were quick and helpful.
