Bit disappointing to find out club data is calculated. Will need to see some direct comparisons to figure out if it's trustworthy

This new Skytrak had me interested for a bit, but calculated club data ? (Except for Club Speed.) No thanks.

Didn't the old skytrak have this calculated club data for a period of time, including angle of attack, in some beta form that was never fully released ? So its basically an old skytrak with a radar for measuring clubhead speed for an extra $1000 ?

The old calculated club data was supposedly fairly accurate assuming centre of the face strikes, but we all know that rarely happens !

Looks like they have added very little (or anything useful) and then charged 50% more. Golftec are maybe trying to get their money back from buying out Skytrak. Given appearance of cheaper units and the recent price reductions on previous expensive camera based units, it is very hard to understand their thinking and marketing strategy. Maybe they are hoping to wing it based on the Skytrak branding. However, that does not work now a days with the number of people reviewing products online and the number of products. It is a different market place compared to 2014. I am sure there is going to be someone soon that is going to come out with a sub 1k to 2k good camera based system. Given that most home consumers have space issues and budget issues it is a big area to exploit and make money from. It would be a captive market for them, as now there is no competition as Skytrak have priced themselves out of the market area. If there is nothing in the pipeline someone is going to realise it very soon.

yes, golftec probably paid too much for skytrak.

Skytrak should have released this Skytrak + as the new skytrak at the same price 2K and they would have killed again for a few years.

Used skytrak is a very good buy with the other software work around.
