  • SKYTRAK PLUS - OUTDOOR TESTING REVIEW! Does it Work? (Skytrak ST+)

Everyone keeps asking, Does the New SkyTrak Plus Work Outdoors? Well, we are here to do our FIRST OUTDOOR Review with the SkyTrak Plus. This is not just any review, this is in direct sunlight with a reflective wedge! We are setup 35 Yards to the pin at the New GSV Outdoor practice facility, let's see how the SkyTrak+ can handle these extreme circumstances. If you are looking to buy the SkyTrak Plus or build a home golf simulator, be sure to email me for the best information and pricing at: a98cr125@gmail.com

Thanks for the outdoor video. Has anyone tested it on real grass? I read that a blades of grass could fly up.and affect the data. I'm.wondering how often that actually would.happen. I don't kick up grass on every shot and the ones that I are either fat and the shot stinks anyway or it would be after hitting the ball and then does that really impact Skytrak numbers? Can a someone can enlighten us?

They specifically said not made for real grass. Mats only.

The official word is that it does not work off real grass. But it is very likely that shots will read. The question is what percentage that is. That would obviously depend on how much grass and dirt is in the images. It sounds as if the plus is using the 3D reconstruction method of reading club head. How sensitive that method is to interference is unknown. It is also unknown if there's an algorithm which rejects shots with interference from reading at all.

Hopefully one of the reviewers with Early Access can give it a try.

I would not bother with using SkyTrak or SkyTrak+ off real grass even with the occasional read if it did work. It was not meant for real grass and data could be misleading.
