  • Perfect Golf (beta) for Skytrak

Perfect Golf might look like a great game but has way too many bugs, even for an early access game still under development. It has a very long way to go before it can be mentioned in the same sentence as TGC, E6, ProTee and Red Chain. There is no AI, no stats, no tournament play and online play servers crash frequently. It currently has 10 courses and no stable (commercially) released version.

Price is unknown, but keep in mind you will be buying a beta product.

  • PG has been right around the corner for over 3 months....WGT, TGC, PG, e6.....the lowest common denominator is ST and their disgraceful software roll outs.

What is worse is that SkyTrak_Seth has stopped commenting. This offers zero confidence.

    • One things this shows is how good ProTee where in hounding them. They never gave up or sat back when it came to releasing their software.
I think SkyTrak helped WGT with their implementation, and that's why the WGT app now lies bereft of improvements - SkyTrak are too busy to offer help to fix any of the egregious errors that have existed for 6 months.
PG seems to lack the ability to influence SkyTrak in any of the same ways (being based in UK might be a detriment)

I will just say that's 3 big strikes on that one.....and...yer out

    • Well at least SkyTrak_Seth is consistent. My requests for any information regarding PG are being ignored across all kinds of social media platforms. Forums (plural), Twitter, and Facebook.

One thing I've learned about this industry... Don't count on anything that is coming soon only buy if what you want is actually released. As far as I am concerned SkyGolf is a garbage company and I will never buy anything that has to do with them again.

        • Guys, sorry for the silence. I really don't know what to say other than it's been tested, it works. It's kind of out of my hands. Let me try to get a status update.

What??? I was last on here about 2 months ago and was told it was in Beta then and would be released 'soon', so what's the hangup? Let me say this, I'm also interested in your SkyGolf Game Tracker with Linx GPS watch package, but every time I read reviews of poor customer service I leave the order page, and figure I'll wait another year, in hopes that bugs are corrected - now, I'm starting to wonder if they are ever corrected, and what exactly goes on at SkyGolf????

          Much appriciated.

We are a bunch waiting to open up our wallets to SkyGolf and PG so it should be in your own interest....

            • SkyTrak_Seth : Any update from the Store gatekeepers?
I can still add it to the cart in CA shop and pay for it, but holding off till i know that it will activate automatically.

                > With that said i think that SkyGolf handles their communication with us kind of poorly but that isnt the same as being greedy and just going for the big
                > bucks

Then what is it, because if a company can easily see that their Customer Service is so poor that it's costing them customers, and they still refuse to do anything about it, there must be some reason, what would it be?

I have no idea and i refrain from speculating in the SkyGolf case.

What i do know from my consulting business is that a lot of companies do not have a clue regarding the financial impact on bad/good customer service. Most companies actually treats customer service as a cost center internally. And that is the difference between companies that just dont talk the talk but also walk the walk, in those companies customer service is a revenue center.

The cost center perspective is actually the norm in most engineer driven companies.

I think this is also showing that it's a double edged sword for a company that wants to solicit advice from users, for improvement, testing or community. But without extending that back in most circumstances.
I feel for SportTrak - they are not really SkyGolf (At least I'm pretty sure they are not a full owned subsidiary) but they get pummelled like they are the ones making commercial decisions.
They do the hardware and the app - so they seem to me to be pretty diligent about those areas, but it must be hard to sit and get stung with things like the TGC delay, PG Delay and commercial decisions like price, GIP, etc.

              • You boys are the strong ones here. If it wasn't for TGC and I had to wait another 3+ more months for sim play after how long we waited before, whew, I would have been getting really twitchy and short fused about it right now. I probably will give PG a go at some point down the road but I admire you guys for holding out for the one you wanted, stay strong!

                • Since we're using Office Space references... it looks like some of us hold-outs might be able to give "Case of the Mondays" a very different meaning soon...
