  • SkyTrak 4.4.2 Release!

    Hello SkyTrak Users!
    We are pleased to announce the release of SkyTrak Software Version 4.4.2. Here are the release notes for Software Version 4.4.2:

    • Improved connection stability.
    • Added Bay Management feature for connecting multiple units to specific devices.
    • Added Soft Reset function to clear stored networks on ST+.
    • Fixed duplicate club issue between master and sub accounts.
    • Added the ability to add notes when sending logs for troubleshooting.
    • Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.

    To update to the latest software version, please visit https://www.skytrakgolf.com/downloads. iOS and Android updates will be available soon. Please allow a few hours for the updates to appear in the Google Play Store and Apple Store.​

    Well - - - I have had the Original SkyTrak Simulator for about 4 years and all has been good, until Software update 4.4.1 which slowed down my iPad v6 to about a 20 second response time. This has created an overwhelming number of complaints that can be read on this forum and other places. When I saw 4.4.2 software update, I was hoping for a fix - - - NO, RESPONSE TIME IS NOW 1 MINUTE 16 SECONDS. Also, it is not practical to use the iPhone due to the screen size so I use my Windows Computer - which is a time consuming to haul it to my simulator bay, but it does work just fine. SkyTrak is doing what Apple does by making hardware obsolete!
    If someone has found a solution, please post it. Thank you

      That stinks. Hopefully they take into account that many people still have the og Skytrak. That is unacceptable w shot to show times. Can you revert back to the older software in the mean time?

        The server migration to Golftec resulted in very long delay between shots as it tried to syncronize shot database. That is what this sounds like. There was a fix, and regardless, the extra delay will go away once the syncing is done.

        However, there has been many connection issues in the past update or two. No idea why they would mess around with network code for a 9 year old products that is reasonably stable, but here are some possibilities:

        - Maybe they are trying to unify the code base with Skytrak+ to make future updates more streamlined, but botched it, ... though I still don't get it. Why bother?

        - Or they are preparing to lock the units down to prevent unauthorized LM connections.This likely requires a firmware update, which users will avoid like the plague, so maybe they are getting their ducks in a row with a series of non-firmware updates that will make the firmware update all but unavoidable.

        - Or there is an issue, but unrelated to the above.

        - Or there is no issue, just co-incidence

        You are probably right about trying to lock the unit down.

        They will lose that battle, just like every other industry that tried it.

        Users will just switch to an Ocular recognition software of some kind.

        Plus with Eye mini price drop, I think skytrak will need to make some changes soon.

        They are getting squeezed from all directions.

      HappyGilmore102, my understanding is that the recent ones used a Unity mod tool that incercepts the data at a high level ... higher than than display ... so probably not even ocular, but that is just a guess.

      Yes, clearly the hardware pricing on high speed video is dropping given the downward price pressure. If I understand the technology used in the + correctly, it uses even cheaper components, and should be able to win a race to the bottom.

      We also have a new overhead unit coming from the company that owns this site ... I don't want to write it in case my comment gets caught in a filter, but it looks very interesting.

        Look, Skytrak had it good since 2015, add-in covid sales boom and I don't think they can complain.

        Every gadget these days is doing very well to last 5 years.

        I don't see eye mini returning to 4.5K now that users know they can sell it for 3.5K.

        Mini should have been release at 3.5k from the start.

        Uneekor just annoyed a lot of customers.

      My solution was to upgrade my dedicated iPad (v6) to an M2 iPad Pro (about $700). The Skytrak (original) has never worked better or seemed so responsive. Btw, I had tried an iPad Pro a year or so ago and it seemed to make little difference, but this time, WOW. Too bad they didn't let people know that 4.4.2 needed more outboard processing power.

        I have a problem with connecting SkyTrak with Software 4.4.2 version. SkyTrak is connected with USB cable and SkyTrak is visible for PC (USB name)
        I can connect also TGC2019 with SkyTrak and it works ok.
        Also mobile phone I'm able connect to SkyTrak.

        The only problem which I have is that I'm not able to connect SkyTrak with SkyTrak Software 4.4.2 using USB cable :-(
        Do you have similar problem?
