SkyTrak and WGT

Hi all,

I have seen many people asking about skytrak and WTG and it seems like that the people who are beta testing TGC and E6 have never
played or tested WTG. It seems like nobody in this forum has tested it. There is no videos ... nothing. But from what I keep hearing
skytrak is coming out with WTG first...? Is there anybody who has some more detailed info or talked to somebody who tested it ?
I'm only interested cause I'm pretty sure it will be the cheapest of all versions and to test it out it would be that big of an investment.
I own a skytrak since about 5 month and can't wait for course play. The problem is I'm on the road a lot so I will not be able to play
on a regular basis. That's why TGC ,even that it seems to be the best choice, doesn't make much sense if it's going to be a monthly
prescription. Really hope to get some infos or even videos about skytrak with WTG.

From what Seth was saying it will not be released PC based any time soon. Only the ipad version for now since the PC Version gives the programmers a lot more issues to realize.

So just wondering about something. Since wgt came out a couple weeks ago to play with the Skytrak. How many guys still use the wgt? How many got bored of it already?

I still play it albeit less than it was first released. I agree with HarryG that being able to play full holes would be nicer.

I would kill to be able to play a full whole or a full 18 or 9 at Chambers Bay!!!!!!!!!!! I love WGT and Skytrak, its much better than the P3 I had and far more accurate. I still think the woods are a bit off but probably because of me and not the skytrak.

So tried playing wgt with the Skytrak. Had everything hooked up fine but when I went to select a Ctp course then trying to play a hole it wouldn't allow me go enter the course. Is anybody else having that problem or is Skytrak done using the beta version for now.

Updated mine to the new PC Firmware last night, but today I just got through testing my new iPhone 6S Plus with WGT. Played Congressional and Celtic Manor. Works a treat.
Holy smokes is the new iPhone faster than my iPad Air. Shots were maybe 1-2 seconds. It's was awesome!

Did you need to jailbreak the iphone 6s plus ? im about to order 1 as i was happy with the performance of skytrak + wgt on the ipad air 2 which has a processor faster than a laptop (3 sec delay ) but just researched the 6s plus and its running the a9x chip which is faster than air2

That's great to hear. Any way you could film a short video showing the shorter time? I just ordered an iPhone 6s plus and am considering pulling the trigger on the Skytrak as well. Based on early reports of how much faster the 6s was, I thought we might see an improvement on Skytrak shot calculation time.

Well I took a video at the range yesterday, skip to 30secs in and at about 33secs you can hear my first shot followed by the Skytrak app showing it about 3 secs later. This is a video taken using my iPhone 6+, can only imagine the 6s+ will do it quicker, although by the time you've completed the follow through and gone to look it's pretty much there already. I'd probably want a delay if the time was much shorter (as I'm turning to look at MacBook to see the shot and not straight in front on a projected image).

Has there been any discussion as to the future ability to be able to turn wind off in WGT? In online videos it seems that every hole had 10-15 mph winds. While that's fine on the mobile version, it seems to me like it would get annoying having to walk over to your phone/tablet and adjust your aim on every shot.

I actually saw your video last night. I was your first "like". Haha. I was glad someone posted a video of the closest to the pin challenges, I hadn't even seen that function up until your video. That delay is quite reasonable with the 6. Based on speed comparisons I've seen of the 6 vs 6s, the delay should be even better and no longer be much of an issue at all.

Hello All,
I've stepped away for a few months and return to find the exciting news about WGT. I have had no problems with ST and my iPAD in network mode. However, I can't find the place to enable ST in WGT. I am following the directions below. However when I tap the upper right profile and swipe it doesn't do anything. Can anyone guide me here.

Setup instrucations for WGT on your ST:

Download WGT Golf App
Create new account (if you don't have one already)
Open App
You'll need to go through the swing tutorials first (2 mins)
When done, upper right hand corner tap your profile.
Swipe all the way to your left and you'll see skytrak (tap enable)
Close (app will Save Options), then the Rapsodo Screen will appear and search for your skytrak

If you have the latest WGT app then you should be able to go to the profile... then to Options. On here you'll see about 5 things but what you can't see is there are 2 or 3 more things available if you swipe over. Try swiping those options and you'll find the ST option.

I'm seeing the same error and not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have the Game improvement package and have been using the ST for couple of months without issues. I have dl latest WGT -> connected to ST -> click on the WGT Closest-to-the-Hole Challenge on WGT Kiawah Island Ocean Course but get this same error. Tried to reinstall all apps and reconnect multiple times without success. Please help!

The $99 improvement package we have currently says WGT Closest-to-the-Hole Challenge on WGT Kiawah Island Ocean Course. Which is the course that still works for me.

The $199 package would include it on 18 courses. I'm guessing they've pulled the Beta and are getting ready for the real access.

I just tried and was able to get into the Beta. I didn't download the PC software nor connect that to my Skytrak. Still running on the iPhone.

Shouldn't the one challenge still be active because I thought that was included with the game improvement package?

On the website it does state that if you have the game improvement package that we should at least be able to access one of the challenges.

I am also getting the same error on all of the courses with closest to the hole challenges. That is I have no access to Kiawah or any of the other courses. I hope this means that they pulled the beta version and that it means they are getting ready for the full release, including full stroke play, for the $99 annual fee (already paid the $99 GI fee).
