Skytrak enclosure - who ordered one?

I ordered one the first day it was available in Canada and noticed that I was charged right away as opposed to on shipment - is this a typical practice? Also, has anyone heard if these are on track to be shipped out next week?

The description on the skytrak web-site says it will provide "protection from light drops, scratches and bumps". Will that cover a hosel-rocket at 90 mph?

Yes, that is the concern I have. Sounds like it only protects from the ball bouncing back from the net. That doesn't make me feel any better about letting a beginner try to hit which they won't be any time soon.

I ordered one at the beginning of Oct. then the shipping date changed to nov 15th. I can't wait until the CG box arrives in jan 2016 😜

I just came back from Japan and thank god I bought myself one of those steel protectors from Japan SkyTrak - looks very sturdy and solid.

I can take a pic of mine when I get home (got a red one). You can also buy online at Rakuten (but think need to pay for forwarding service to ship to US) - http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/e...ommend_item_en. Steel is thicker than I thought and quite heavy. SkyTrak screws into place using 3 screws provided to screw bottom of protector to bottom of SkyTrak while leaving reset hole open making it quite stable w reasonable gap between steel protector and front of SkyTrak to absorb any shocks. So like I said quite solid and sturdy, and I think def shank-proof (unless ball goes into camera opening - which is same as US SkyTrak case). Only problem is side and back are exposed so balls might hit it when bounced back from net - but I don't worry about that so much as my net is quite absorbent and if I really worry can just put a box behind. All in all very happy w my purchase.

As a brand new customer, I am discouraged by SkyTrak pushing the date back on shipments. You have already taken money out of our accounts with an expectation to receive product post the 11/15 date. You are effectively stealing interest on our money. I would ask that SkyTrak reimburse via a discount for the shipment and credit to our accounts.

Not going to happen. If you guys really want an insight into skygolf, see how chaotic the release of their "TOUCH" gps went 6 months of pushing back release dates and nobody who paid for pre-orders got anything, but a Sorry.

This is what we now know for sure.....Skygolf has no clue about logistics, supply chain and product launches.

Spoke to someone at skygolf this morning - told me they're being shipped to Canada this week and we should have it by next week. Not holding my breath.

Molded plastic. Either way it feels cheap. People gonna be complaining I'm sure. Seems OK for my purposes.
