  • Registering Tee Shots

I've had the Skytrak for a while now and never had a problem using my irons. However, I cannot get tee shots to register. Is there something I'm missing about aligning the laser? Or should I be setting the skytrak unit high enough to aim the laser at the height of the ball on the tee?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Thanks Chughes. I will give that a go. I think that is a smart idea. I am wondering if I did not have it level also. Do you guys actually put a level on top of the unit to make sure its true? I set it in the grass to try 50 yard chip shots in the practice area behind the range and it registered most of them but the sun was now on the back side of the unit and not facing the lens. I'm starting to wonder if it was a sun issue directly onto the lens. Its sunny today, so I will go to the range and try it. I will take some white balls with me and try both then bring some yellow ones back to try in the simulator. Thanks again you guys. It's appreciated.

I keep a level on it, but I am not fanatical about it being perfect.

This is the big chunky tee I use, its supposed to be inserted from the underside of the mat but I lay it directly on top for maximum height (for minimum backspin). You'd think it would interfere with ST reading the ball but its fine. Can't remember the last misread of a driver and the tee often ends up hitting the impact screen.
