Considering Skytrak for game improvement for ball flight and curvature

Hello all. I'm looking into ordering the skytrak to use as an indoor garage range and target practice. It will be used by me and my son who is a junior golfer, he's 11. I'm interested in the range and target games side of the skytrak program.
I hope it would be a good tool to tighten those iron shots into the greens. Accurate distance would be nice but I'm really interested in hearing from other users that it would be great for reading ball flight and curvature. How accurate have those ball flight and curvature numbers been with the software revisions? Thanks!

In my opinion, it is highly accurate with the irons, and also the woods at ball speeds at or below 150 mph. The curvature is correct in direction, but I believe that the curvature is a little exaggerated. The upcoming 2.1 software version should take care of ball speeds higher than 150 mph, and then the unit will be basically dead on across the board as far as I'm concerned (within the stated tolerances, anyway). If you put the ball logo toward the cameras, spin accuracy is supposed to improve, as well.

Regarding flight of the ball, the app doesn't tell you the peak height, so it's hard to gauge that, but the general shot shape in profile view seems accurate.

It has certainly improved my ball striking and consistency, that much is certain. You can easily work on shaping the ball with it. Just account for the slight exaggeration of curvature.

PS- are you a Tool fan, a Jung fan, or both?

Thanks for the reply about the ball flight and how it represents draws and fades. This way I can demonstrate to my son about the new ball flight laws and how to tame a hook or fade, etc. He's been playing a couple years with the pga junior league but this will be great for us to both use in the winter. We picked up some older mats from his golf practice facility to put in the garage. They are in great shape, they just replaced with newer ones! I have the projector mounted in the garage and I'm deciding on an impact screen or net return with the extra screen. Trying to figure out the type of material for the screen and size has been the hardest to pick out. And yes I do enjoy Tool music! Playing music is another of my hobbies..thanks again
