Finished another round on E6 and putting as usual is brutal. Not just E6 though, WGT is unusable for me too, there is zero consistency in the horizontal launch.
But i think I know why...
On my mat it's pretty fuzzy, the hitting surface is obviously scuffed and ever so slightly uneven. So it stands to reason that puts can jump left or right minutely, and then the readings can be very arbitrary from the unit.
Without being able to align the device outside of the ST app, moving it to a flat area is a no go, putting a mat on top of the hitting area doesn't work, as it's slightly uneven as well.
This is not a ST issue, as I'm sure it's reading the variations of bounce from the mat at launch and extrapolating - but it makes it unbearable to putt with.
E6 only has 10ft gimmies, and the auto putt feature will basically 3 putt every 50ft. And don't get me started on WGT and it's guesstimates...
Currently thinking that an option for Skytrakers in SIMs would be to allow 0* variance on greens, negating the left/right issue. Then putting becomes a game of speed and tempo rather than directional. E6 allows you to align to break already, so this is another aid in that vein.
Anyone else having the same issues vis-a-vis the mat surface?
