ProTee United SkyTrak_Seth This was asked in another thread, but never answered. For clarification, if we choose to pay the yearly fee for TGC, do we then own it at the end of the 2 years or is the annual fee perpetual?

No sorry not at this time. The SkyGolf shop does not have this feature. We explained it here: http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...ense-explained
However we will discuss this with SkyTrak and see what the options are. We will keep you posted.

Btw just curious why must sell TGC for ST on SkyGolf shop/website? Aren't these TGC for ST same as any other TGC and once bought outright can be freely transferable to work on other platforms? Why not just use existing TGC sales channels (i.e., Swingsense, Protee United, etc.) as SkyGolf is not really getting extra security by selling TGC on their website given if the license security was properly set up within software they should be able to continue to collect their $100/year GIP tax regardless of where TGC was purchased right? Why not give ProTee flexibility to determine and offer other different purchase options for their software (like lease-to-own or even monthly rental options)? I mean with more options, ProTee might sell more ST TGC which means more $100/year revenues for SkyGolf to collect - isn't that a good thing?Originally posted by ProTee United View PostThe SkyGolf shop does not have this feature.

And remember the delay in SkyGolf getting their storefront ready for this (even though Swingsense and ProTee already have working storefronts set up for this) probably caused some lost sales w weather warming up. And why let customers have to deal w SkyGolf's known poor customer service (when ProTee seems to have excellent customer service)?
Or maybe I'm missing something here - i.e., SkyGolf collects a portion of the $995 outright or $479/year for TGC sold on their website? But then after the $100/rebate for ST GSF forum members is over what is to stop others from buying TGC outright on Swingsense and use their ST with it? I don't know - and maybe it's just me - but SkyGolf baffles me all the time...Originally posted by Mantis View PostAfter waiting a day to receive the email from Skytrak for the download link, plus having to call SkyGolf customer service just to have them send it to me.
Now it turns out I have to wait another day for a licence key from ProTee before I can play this game.
I'm not usually an impatient person, but I did just pay a $1000 for a video game that I still can't play.
Talk about a buzz kill.Last edited by doublebogey; 02-27-2016, 02:57 AM.

doublebogey I don't want to get into much detail here as these are business decisions and security related questions, but TGC available from SwingSense.com will not work with ST. TGC for SkyTrak can only be purchased via SkyGolf.

Ok totally understand if it's non-disclosable biz decisions. And thanks for letting us know TGC from SwingSense will not work w ST - but I assume ST TGC from SkyGolf can work w other platforms if needed right? Thanks.

Yes, but it needs to be transferred to another platform. That means we will need to modify the license key, so make sure you keep your license key in a safe place.
