  • Hitting off a tee

What is the best way to set the ball up for hitting off a tee? Also on the WGT have you had trouble with the system picking up the ball off the tee?

I always try my best to place the ball as close to the middle of the tee as possible, so it doesn't fall off. [sorry, couldn't help myself]

I try to do that myself. Had that comment coming. We have problems getting the skytraks to pickup balls that are teed up.

Yes, sorry! I have a GC2, and while it doesn't suffer with any pickup issues, I have often wondered if the height of tee makes a difference to how it reads the shot. Anyway, no more sabotage from me.

I use rubber tee's similar to the photo without issue with my unit.

I second that. I've placed those in front of, behind and right on the laser and they read. Although, I will say that the ones behind the laser seem to read better.

Position the tee about a 1/2 inch behind red dot and put logo of golf ball towards SkyTrak. I'm high swing speed player and it picks it up fine.

Someone suggested black duct tape cylinders. I have made several in different sizes. Work like a charm.

This is what I use, and I place it about 3/4in behind the dot. My swing speeds are between 107-111 and have no problem with shots registering.

          I love this product!

Yeah I've seen this before, and after getting tired of hunting for tees flying around the room, I clicked 'buy now' and 'saturday delivery'.

Use the tee claw and tether it to the tomahawk tees. Best combo i've found. Been using it for quite a while now. Never chase a tee or break a tee again.

You need both to eliminate the tee flying around. In the pic you can see the claw tee with the elastic lanyard, this is then connected to the tomahawk tee.

wbond is your Skytrak sitting way higher than your turf mat?

No it's an optical illusion. It sat at the exact same height. Here you can see the height of the mat better.

Awesome! I just ordered a Claw Tee.

I also have the Tomahawk tees. Question for everyone. The lower Tomahawk tee for irons seems a little higher than what I tee my irons up. Anybody know of another similar indoor sim tee to use for teeing irons that is a little bit lower. I cut the Tomahawk tee down to make it sit lower, but curious if another good sim tee is out there for teeing low irons on par 3's.

Are you flipping the small tee upside down so it's like sitting in the cup. The small is for both irons and woods.

The tee goes just as if you were sticking the tee in the ground right into the red laser dot. Do you have a white-headed driver? If so, you may need to go a tad behind (to the right) of the dot to keep that club head out of the image.
