Perfect Golf Computer (Video/CPU) requirements

I tell ya, we get ripped off here in the uk. That same card costs about $70 more, nearly enough to add a little extra and go for the 970.

Has anyone much experience with any of the Radeon cards compared to nvidia? Any advantages to sticking with the nvidia range considering that's the main card that is recommended for both PG and TGC.

I've nearly completed my PC spec and this is the only thing I'm stuck on, but so far going for:
i7 4790k 4ghz, 32gb corsair vengeance pro, 250gb Samsung SSD, gigabyte z97x game plus and corsair 750w psu.

Hi,

This is for information mainly, however, if somebody faced the same earlier and know the way forward to resolve it please let me know.
I got a new laptop Gigabyte P35Xv5-SL4K2, i7-6700HQ, 16GB RAM, GTX-980M and Intel HD Graphics, and it look like there internal conflict between the two graphics cards from NVIDIA and INTEL. When I select or adjust the graphic the NVIDIA card to take car of the high demanding graphics of Perfect Golf, for some reasons the HDMI port gets disable.

I got the technical specialist from NVIDIA who took the laptop online for more than 4 hours but the issue still there. Here is it:

Issue: Unable to get the HDMI TV to work, by connecting it to the HDMI port on the laptop.

Background:
NVIDIA GTX 980M, driver 359.00 installed, the one that is recommended by Gigabyte. Tried 364.72, 365.10 from NVIDIA Site but Still no go.

Now the HDMI port is not getting detected on NVIDIA control panel -> Set Physx configuration.

Did a clean installation for the 359.00 drivers as well.

Also, unable to get the GTX 980M to work with my games, as it looks like it is using the Intel HD graphics for gaming as well.

Changed the Preferred graphics processor to NVIDIA High performance processor and that worked for some time, but lost the HDMI connection on the TV.

Possibly at the absolute lowest settings, but you can spend $20 on steam to buy it and find out for sure.

Does anyone know if perfect golf displays in 4:3 or 16:9 or can you change the display in the game. Thanks in advance

I just wondered if you made a purchase in the UK yet, I'm still not sure if to pull the trigger as my computer is costing £1,400. Hoping for a cheaper option.

Yep, and it wasn't cheap as I had to go i7 for virtualization stuff. What spec have you got and where are you buying from and I'll see if I can help you out on a few things

Mine wasn't actually as expensive as I first thought. £1123.36

Just a few points:
1: build it yourself if you can... YouTube building pcs, it's not as hard as you might think
2: go i5 unless you absolutely require the features of an i7... most don't
3: compare current with previous gen processors, you'll find there's very little difference
4: going last gen will save you on processor, board, ram... quite a lot actually
5: building yourself and get Windows 10 OEM license... it's a LOT cheaper

Did you go i7 for something other than the golf sim? I think i5 might be enough, I was also going for 1080 graphics but may go 980

Yep, the i7 was for virtualization. If this was for sum only, I'd have went i5 and 16gb ram and put extra towards an m.2 SSD for extra speed. Although standard Sata drives are big and cheap, I don't think I'd ever move away from SSD now. The secondary use of my setup is sim. And I would compare the current 980 against a 1070 too, but as there are plenty of people upgrading, there's quite a few knocking about on gumtree and eBay

As much as I'd like to help, unfortunately I can't. I've got the computer, net and projector, but yet to pic which LM I'm going with, though highly looking like a skytrak at the moment. Hopefully someone else here can point you in the right direction
