Just bought a SkyTrak yesterday and should receive it by tomorrow. It included the GIP/WGT package. Anything else I should considering adding on?

I purchased my skytrak about 8 weeks ago. It can be a money pit but loads of fun and will improve your game. Did you purchase any type of hitting matt and net? you will need these since the skytrak does not work outdoor very well - well on natural grass. ON a matt it is fine. You can add TGC when you get tired of WGT. TGC is cool for many reason but the reason I like it is the many courses and the weekly tournements that follow the PGA (I have not played any because still in Q school)
When I first started I thought a projector was NOT necessary a big screen TV or PC monitor will be just as good. Nope, so now looking at that option.

The sim can be somewhat of a money pit. A good mat is probably first followed by enclosure protection. Impact screen and projector next. You will also need a good gaming computer for TGC. TGC is worth every penny. You will also need a unique user name for TGC....... The Gonk..... might be available. One of the greatest things is watching PGA golf on the weekend after playing your tournament rounds. The sim will definitely help your game. I have been using mine for just over a year now. Recently, I had my first real life round ever where I hit all 14 fairways ( a wormburner that only went 140 yards counts as a FIR)..... on my way to an 81 ( best score in over a decade). Two in the water and a bad day putting kept me from the 70's. I would consider the sim as my greatest purchase ever.

Skytrak, projector (Optoma GT1080), impact screen and Country Club Elite mat arrived today. Will be busy building tomorrow. Looking forward to trying this thing out.
I will keep you guys posted.
Would you say there is a big difference between the WGT and TGC?

Huge difference. Another sim to consider is Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf. Plays well on a lesser gaming computer than TGC requires and at a different pricing structure it is less expensive, at least in the first few years. Many say you can't go wrong either way - TGC or JNPG.

HUGE difference. You can play on a "tour" with either TGC or JNPG, which is not possible yet on WGT I don't think, although they have started more competitive events. I've only played it 1-2 times. They were horrible experiences and I have never gone back. I have both TGC and JNPG. I personally prefer TGC because its what I've had the longest and what I'm used to. However, there are some advantages to JNPG which is multiple tee box use if you have multiple players in various levels that need the different tee boxes. So that helps when my son plays with me. That's not available yet in TGC.
