  • Skytrak and airline travel?

I get my skytrak today, just in time to go out of town with the family to my inlaws up in the U.P. While golf is on the menu, I was wondering if it's legit to pack up the laptop, some foam balls and the skytrak in the golf bag and take it with me. Folks have a detached garage/barn that would work perfectly. But I can't find the answer if the lithium battery fits within the specs of what's allowed on an airline. Is there anyway to find out?

interesting question. I am not sure but I would think skytrak ships these devices via air so from that standpoint be OK. However, I do not fly much (happy about that) so really not sure.

I've researched the Lithium Battery requirements from the FAA here in the States and from Delta (my airline this weekend), but I can't figure out anything about the battery. I'll try to get an answer from Skytrak and if they know I'll post here in case others have had the same question or idea.

They say not. So that's that. In case you wanted to pack it up and take it with you and hit balls on the beach! Which may not be a great idea.lol
