This thread was fantastic for me. I took the advice and purchased a Bosch level last weekend and it's made a huge difference in the results when I use my SkyTrak. Well worth the money.

Yes I don't have tapatalk. I saw a picture of someone aligning 2 laser dots, is this correct?

I saw one of the posts of the laser someone bought and will get one of those but need some reference points to align the laser to.

Thanks Brady, I bought a laser from b and q today for £30.

Also I found how to turn the 2 lasers on to align, it on the skytrak range in settings

I got my loan Skytrak whilst mine is in for repair.
First thing I did was make a protective screen from Lexan.

But regards the alignment of the loan Skytrak compared to mine, it is out.

I purchased a laser level and lined it up to the alignment dots on the Skytrak.
Its completely out.
I have to readjust the purchased laser alignment tool to the right of the Skytrak's alignment dots.
When I hit my laser marks on my screen it is spot on but it is right of the Skytrak laser line.
Why is this?

Out of curiosity, what are you guys doing about mat imperfection when lining up the dots? That spot on that mat gets beat up pretty good.

I chalk a line on my mat in the desired line, then use a straight edge (typically one of those circular saw guides) on the chalk line so that I can set the Skytrak lasers right on the edge of the metal so I know they are both aligned.

Otherwise, trying to figure out where the laser is actually pointing on the mat is next to impossible.

i have a Bosch contractors laser mounted permanently on the wall its lined up perfectly with the projector, mat and screen I made reference points with a sharpie on the ceiling and floor to have more way points.
