Just got my skytrak last Thursday but was too sick to setup and try until Monday. I for some reason didn't get the play and improve card with my package so am waiting for support to add that to my subscription. So far I have only been able to use the stock driving range which has been a blast! Can't wait to be able to turn on the green targets. So far I am very impressed with the functionality. I generally know what shot shape I have hit and everything is showing up just as I would expect. I have a little loss in distance to outside but I think that is due to hitting off the CCE matt and an indoors swing. Have only used my PW so far but it is going to really allow me to fine tune hitting shaped shots I can tell. Thanks to all the posters who pushed me over the edge to purchase and in reading some of your issues it saved me lots of headache in setup!

Play @ an 8.3HDCP currently and work with a PGA instructor a few times a month. Currently trying to learn to hit a cut instead of my draw as I have been over turning it and even getting some nice pull hooks. Will have something this winter to keep my game sharp!

Welcome to the team! You're gonna love it more and more everyday. You planning on getting tgc or one of the sim games as well?

Well once they get me straightened out license wise I think I have WGT and will try that first. I am not sure which SIM package is the best, probably won't get that until winter rolls around and I have to hibernate for 5 months!

I started out with WGT when I first got my Skytrak late last year, but I haven't played it at all since I began using Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf. A lot of participants on this forum like TGC, but I tried both TGC and JNPG on the PC before eventually committing to JNPG. It's cheap to try out the PC versions first and make your own choice before the winter hibernation begins.

Thanks I will take a look at JN.. who doesn't love Jack. I have it running on a surface right now but also have my main PC rig in the basement that I could leverage. Will have to snag the wife's iPad for WGT which is a bummer it doesnt run on a PC!

Forgot to ask, has anyone seen good HDCP improvement? I'm trying like hell to get down to a 5! Is it best to just use the practice range to work on shot shaping or do you feel actual sim play helps improvement also? Thanks for the advice.

There have been studies that show repeatedly hitting the same shot doesn't engage your brain as much as hitting a variety of shots, which would seem to imply that playing simulator rounds would help your swing more than the range. I don't know if that is true in my case but I will say that it is much more fun to play a virtual round than hit on a virtual range, and more fun means that I will practice more which has to be good. Also, to tailor your practice, you can always pick a short course if you want to work on your irons, or a narrow one if you are working on driving.
