Skytrak putting tips?

Played a handful of holes this morning and some holes putting was fine, some it was not. One hole I hit the putt probably 5 times before one registered. I tried putting the ball in front of the dot, behind the dot and on the dot. Eventually I decided to hit the putt twice, if it doesn't read, then putt it with a 7. Seems to register every time with the 7.

Are there any tips for this or is this just how it is right now? Thanks!

Was this with TGC?
I'd start with the level of the skytrak device itself compared to the level of your mat.

Thanks Tekbud. I'll double check the level of the device. It was with TGC.

TGC is great for the short game compared to wgt. Very few problems putting. Sometimes the box not connected message appears but I can generally close the software (not the game) and start it again and it connects.

Also, make sure the software has switched to putting mode.

It helps if you face the logo of the ball towards the camera. I set mine to where I have just a teency bit of space between the ball and the dot in "front" of the dot. I have actual logos on my golf balls that I hit so that helps too, but even when I use regular balls and just face the name of the golf ball to the camera it helps. I still have to hit 2-4 putts a couple of times a round and general its the worst putt that ends up registering without fail :-).

Thanks for the tips guys. I leveled the skytrak with my hitting mat and put the logo towards the camera and only had one misread in my round today.
