looks great SkyTrak_Seth, just a note, I haven't played it yet, but in the video it looks like the average for flight time is just the cumulative total and stills needs dividing by the no of shots.

Hahaha! Good eyes You had me scared for a sec, but I just checked the app and it's correct. Must have just been an old screenshot.

That's awesome Seth! The only thing I've felt was lacking between the SkyTrak app and TGC was a better way to practice. This appears to be a great start.

Aside from the skills assessment, is there any way during a normal 'practice range' session to display on screen: a. # of balls hit, b. last 5-10 shot history? This was something I really enjoyed when I demoed the E6 range.

At least the first one, yes. I would like to add shot x of y and allow you to toggle up and down to highlight that shot/tracer. The only issue with the second one is running out of real estate

The dynamic handicap I had with my gaming set of clubs was a 14.1. I only went to 200 yards instead of the 250.

Yeah if I could get my short game to work that would be great. My home course is a driver-wedge type of course for several holes. It would do wonders for my score, but it's still not even close to where it needs to be from 120-in.

SkyTrak_Seth Do you have a video about the new numbers and their relationship to your golf shot? I'm particularly interested in the Angle of Descent. Can this be used with something else to determine what your Angle of Attack is?

Hmmm...no, but that's a great idea. To answer quickly though, I explain Angle of Descent as a way of looking at the trajectory equation from the other end, or looking at the effect instead of the cause. Here, at impact, the cause is launch angle and back spin. At the other end, Angle of Descent is the effect. Meaning you affect your Angle of Descent by altering launch and back spin on the front end. Steeper Angle of Descent means the ball stops more where you land it, shallower means you get more roll. There are all kinds of "ideal" charts out there on the web!

Awesome. The decision to buy a SkyTrak two months ago keeps looking better. After this version rolls out, I strongly suggest to SkyTrak management the idea of sending out more machines to the press and influencers for review. Old reviews from early 2015 don't do justice to the experience a buyer today will have, between substantially upgraded SkyTrak software and now three choices of golf simulation, and what looks like a lot of movement down the experience curve. If the reviews are out by October/November, Skytrak should have a really strong winter sales season, with more people than ever practicing and playing golf during the off season (in northern climates at least).

The software/apps have really improved. I was happy with my purchase from jump street but the added features are really awesome. I have not tried the new pre release yet but if it is a sign to the future it is solid. Can't wait to give PR 2.5 a whirl. It will allow players to evaluate their scores/skills on a meaningful level. One thing leads to another. I appreciate the follow through on development.

Had a play with the pre release tonday, love it, only had the unit a few weeks, really impressed, by the way, my laptop , which is not a brilliant ( my top spec PC is coming Monday ) is a lot faster than my iOS device and connects with no fuss.

                        Seth:

I've had my Skytrak about 6 weeks now and this update is fantastic. The skills assessment is very helpful. I really like seeing the shot dispersion graphs for each distance. This will be a great help to understand my shot patterns.

One thing I would like to see in a future release is a practice fairway. I like the ability to hit to practice greens and I think if you had a few different fairway styles it would also be very beneficial. I was able to get fit for a driver on a Trackman last year and one of the best things about it was the ability to see the shot dispersion. I'm glad Skytrak now has this ability in the assessment.
