SkyTrak Simulator Software and Setup Help!

    Hi all,

I am relatively new to all this and in need of some help. I am setting up a simulator room at my golf club. This will be used for teaching and for customers to hire out to play simulator golf. The room is all prepared but am just waiting on the last bits to arrive. I have purchased SkyTrak device, hitting mat, enclosure and net, gaming pc, projector, iPad Pro, flat screen tv (going all out). In the meantime I just need to find out how to set it all up!!! Ha, so I have these questions... If anyone can help me that will be great

    1. Which software is best with skytrak?
    2. Do you need wifi or can I use 4G hotspot via phone?
    3. Is there a step by step guide to find out how to get it all set up and linked together?

Basically just want to know how to link it all up with the software so I know what to do when it all gets here this week

    thanks

Hi, here my input on this :

    1. It's between TGC and PG for most of us depends on who you ask and what you want. For a setup at a golf club and for people to pay for using it TGC might be out because they don't have multiple tee boxes. PG you need good internet because it's stream only. In case that's a problem you might have to look at E6 which is less courses, more money but multiple tee boxes and you can play it offline. For me the 4th option WGT is not even in the picture for this. I only play TGC and i love it but no multiple tee boxes :-(
    2. E6 you can play offline so nothing needed, PG you need internet cause it's stream only. Wouldn't wanna do this through a phone.
3 Skytrak setup is easy and explained well in the manual, software depends on which one but there are guides for all of them on here.

hope that helps. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Don't worry, really easy to setup, I had no troubles and I'm not that tech minded

        1. Well for me hands down TGC seems to play the most realistic. This is just my preference and I have played PG, WGT and E6.
        2. I have only used Wi-Fi with TGC and it is very reliable.
        3. Buy the Skytrak system connect to it directly, configure your Wi-Fi settings and then install TGC. Play and enjoy!

Thanks guys I've got it all up and running now it looks great. I have decided to go with e6 this year because of no internet at the course it looks great on the screen so I'm generally happy with it so far.

One thing though. I played my first round on it yesterday and it picked up every shot and seemed to be very accurate! Today I used it in lessons and all of a sudden it didn't pick the ball up? I tried and X messed around with it but it's still not picking anything up. One junior did hit the skytrak with a ball? Will this effect it? Is it designed to take a hit from a golf ball? I have the protective case on it thank god. The laser still shows and all green lights are still on... Maybe the lighting? It is dark in the room but as I say it worked perfectly yesterday so I am a little bit worried.

          thanks

A golf ball hit it, stopped working, and asking if related? Mmmm - I think so. I love my skytrak but it really, in my opinion, a consumer device not a commercial device. with that said - wish you all the luck and hope you prove me wrong.

I agree with Penrose completely I hope you have a few skytraks behind the counter, I barely trust my friends to play a round with me on it let alone some random paying a couple bucks and making a mistake, good luck on this one.
