  • iPhone 6s Crash

    All,

I want to get out ahead of this and give you a heads up. We have received reports and verified a crash bug with the iPhone 6s (appears isolated to this model only) on the new software update. Please bear with us as we resolve this ASAP. I'll post in this thread any and all updates.

With the holiday coming up, in case this is not immediately fixable, please let me know if the 6s is your only means to use SkyTrak. If so, I will find a way to get you back on an older version so you are not down over the weekend.

I hit for about 30 minutes on it tonight. Felt like there were a few more unregistered shots than normal, but didn't have any problems connecting or with a low battery indicator. I'm using a iPhone 6s plus if that matters.

I'm in network mode. I did go back out and try to connect later and was having a few problems. The lights would go green, yellow blinking, red to green, red, red. I didn't mess with it long, so it may have been something else causing this.

That sounds like some sort of network issue. Just keep me posted.

So I'm still having issues after the app update. It takes several times of turning off and on for it to even connect. Once connected, it will register about the first 5 swings before it won't register anymore.

Hey all, it looks like this crash issue is now resolved so I am going to go ahead and release v2.5.2 for iOS.

      Hi,
been trying the new update. When in practice mode after hitting a few balls the connection keeps dropping and reconnecting to a point where it's unusable. Not sure whether it's an app or machine problem. I've sent through some logs. Done the usual reset machine etc. this is in direct mode using iPad Pro, on 2.5.2.

Got it! We'll get to the bottom of it and post the results.

Any progress on the iPad Pro connectivity problems?

I'm not having any problems connecting in direct mode, but I cannot connect in network mode. Nothing has changed with my network from before the update. Any suggestions that I should try?

Updated version just doesn't seem as stable as prior versions. I still get random freezes. I would hit a shot, light goes red, no ball flight on iPad and Skytrak just sits there with the red light. Sometimes restarting the app works, sometimes I have to turn off the Skytrak and turn it back on. I still get the critical battery low problem once in a while too....even when it's plugged in and fully charged.

Today is first time I been able to use my skytrak in a few months. Use an iPad Air and I had it freeze 3 times and had app crash and shut off 3 other times. All happened in a little over an hour, going to try using laptop tomorrow and see if same problems.

Can you guys report which version iOS you are on? I actually just updated to iOS 10 on one of the iPad's here this morning and it turned on all kinds of notifications, causing issues with our app and connections.

THe issues I've posted about have been with iOS 9, as I haven't updated to ios10 yet.

I am still having issues on my iPad Pro. It is running version iOS 10. The wifi connection is highly unstable when using the application. It doesn't last for more than 2-3 minutes before the light going RED. It may come back, but doesn't stay on for long. Tried both Network and DIrect mode. I just put it on the dining table and watch it flick on and off without even trying to hit balls. TO be honest I was seeing exactly the same behaviour under IOS 9.x before I upgraded. I get rock solid performance on the iPhone so in my mind this has to be an iPad Pro specific issue.

Hey all, (BAWA I responded via PM too), we did the fix the iOS issue this was originally started for in v2.5.2. However, it looks like there are some new memory-related issues (going back to v2.5.1) we are working through now. I'm holding the next release to include this work and results are promising as of this morning. I'll keep you posted on release, but no crashes now going back well-before our first supported iPad model.
