  • SkyTrak not working well with latest Windows 10 Update?

My SkyTrak has become almost impossible to use after the latest Windows 10 Update that was installed yesterday. I'm not sure if it is related to the update or not. When I connect the SkyTrak, in connects to the network and works properly, but shortly after that it stops working. The Power LED is green, the WiFi LED is yellow, and the Ready LED is red. According to the SkyTrak manual:

"SkyTrak is in Network Mode and it is connected to a known network. It is waiting for a connection with the software on your tablet."

Up until yesterday, my SkyTrak has worked very well with only the occasional missed shot.

I have tried restarting SkyTrak, my PC, and my wireless router. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks.

I just finished a webchat with SkyTrak and he had me connect in direct mode with a USB cable. It seems to be fine after that. I've never had to use this method in the 3 months I've had SkyTrak but I'll run this way for a while and see if everything works properly again.

Thanks for the tip CintiGolfer as my computer updated last night when I left. Haven't tried to play or practice yet, because had an IRL tournament this morning.

CintiGolfer did you notice the delay time change between swing and display from wifi and cable connection?

I am having slight issues since I updated the Beta version to release Version 2.5.1 for Windows .. I turn skytrak unit on and it goes into network mode . Then I start the skytrak application in windows 10 and it does not connect in the first shot to the unit like it used to . I then need to restart the unit and it connects finally ( middle light goes green) .
Also in the history all data previous to release Version 2.5.1 for Windows seems to have been wiped off..

I would like to thank Tekbud for one of his earlier posts regarding connectivity. I had changed the SkyTrak unit to a fixed IP address earlier but it somehow got changed to dynamic. I'm not sure this was related to the Windows 10 update. After changing it back to a fixed IP address, I was able to play in direct connect mode with no issues.

I am having issues connecting Skytrak to a newly built Windows 10 64 bit home machine via USB. The app just indicates that Skytrak is not connected and there are 2 red LED with the bottom LED green.

When I connect Skytrak to a Windows 8.1 laptop via USB, it works fine.

                    Any ideas?

This implies there's nothing wrong with the ST unit. Have you tested the USB port on your new home machine with a different external device (e.g., a card reader, or perhaps an external drive), to make sure the port is working?

Thanks for that mate. The USB ports are working OK.

I think I have found the cause of the issue though...

This worked for me. I had reset my computer and thought I had tried everything. I have not used my Skytrak in a couple of months.
