    Skytrak - Wedge distances

    Hi,

I had the opportunity to test a Skytrak LM for the first time. Have hit only a few balls with driver, 7i and LW. Driver and 7i seemed to be spot on but I felt I hit the LW 5% or so longer than IRL, although admittedly I wasn't striking them as well as the driver/7i. Would be great if people could confirm this was probably just me and not the machine (i.e. are there any issues in general with Skytrak measures wedge distances?)

I agree wedges seem longer than real life but I have gotten use to it. Ive had afew strange ones go extra long but it's very rare.
Ive made it a point to place the ball with the logo facing the unit and that seems to help overall.

I have practiced with the SkyTrak outside extensively to known yardages from 10 - 140 yards. 1000's of shots . Carry is very close. I think this is what ST is best at. . You may be catching your wedges slightly cleaner off a mat vs grass turf for extra yardage. I focus on carry with all the clubs really. How could it accurately predict landing area? Just my 2cents.
