  • Range balls and distance with latest software feedback

Tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. Since most people are using this at home with real balls, does anyone have experience with skytrak using real balls and range balls?

I want to bite the bullet to get the skytrak for my driving range practices until I have time to build out a full sim option in the backyard but wanted to see if it is useful measuring range ball data from wedge to driver. While I understand range balls might not give me similar numbers to actual ball data, i'm wondering if they would provide consistent ball data.

Thanks! Hoping to be $1,700 poorer...lol.

ST will report what the ball does, whatever ball or club you use. If the range balls you hit typically go 10% shorter than the regular balls you'd use on the course, then that 10% shorter distance is what ST will capture. You just have to know how the range balls compare to the balls you plan to use when actually playing on a course, so you can adjust accordingly.

If you plan to use it at a range off of grass, ST is not the best option.

if its consistent data you're looking for then yes, skytrak will do that. but think about what time you go to the range and where the sun is, for me the only time i could hit at my range on the mats with no interfere is till about 2 clock. if i go later than that i get sun light.
