Skytrak TGC resolution

I am slowly going crazy. New sim setup. Wicked fast computer, TGC, skytrak and a BENQ HT2150ST projector. Start it off and it projects my desktop on the screen at 1920 x 1080 at 60hz. I open TGC up and select 1920 x 1080 high resolution and it projects it at 1600 x 1200 at 60 hz. It did this automatically. Both at 16:9 ratio. Why is it doing this? Can't figure out why

Do you have an NVIDIA GTX 970 graphics card or better? Your screen at 1600 x 1200 can't appear to be 16:9 unless your projector has a "stretch" setting on. Other than that, I haven't got a clue. Sorry.

Are you launching TGC in full-screen or windowed mode?

Launching full screen. Here's a new twist. When I select 1200 x 1080 on the TGC start up screen it somehow gets changed to 1920 x 1080 when it gets to the projector. It blanked out a few times at this resolution during a round but have since taken two HDMI cables out of the path and two connections and am running a 25 foot HDMI cable and seems to be better. Don't want to jinks myself so I won't say it's fixed but seems to be happening much less often.
