Differences with and without protective case?

I've had my unit for a few weeks now and continue to be frustrated that everything wants to fade/slice right. IRL i'm typically a drawer of the golf ball, so much so that the sneaky snap hook cost me match play in the state am this year. I've used the level with the protective case and tried over exaggerating the unit open and closed and continue to get the same result. Being up in New England access to a full range this time of year is next to impossible so I cant verify the possibility that my swing is really that screwed up right now. That being said, for giggles tonight I took the unit out of the protective case and had it up on my mat. Hit a few shots and had a much more realistic flight and dispersion and the distance was even closer to real life. . Anyone have similar issues or see a potential flaw with what I am doing with set up of the protective case?

Will keep this in mind. Can anyone chime in - if you have the unit in the protective case on a surface that is flush with the mat - the unit is actually sitting above the mat (which can be more drastic based on how loose the screws are)

Is that your issue? - Im actually considering planning my subfloor build heights to accommodate for this?

The case is on a carpet on the side of my mat, but the leveling screws are out enough to make the unit the same height as the mat. I don't think that is the issue.
