  • TPS Questions

I take lessons once a week on Trackman. My pro is a great fitter/teacher but few of his clients are in to the tech like I am so he's not explored TPS too thoroughly.

    1. I see you can connect multiple devices to TM at the same time. The tutorial shows an iPad but I'm wondering if I can bring my PC and have it connected for full functionality after I go home? He is setup on a PC (wired to TM) so I'm unclear if I can also download TPS and connect as a viewer or if that only works on iPad. He's good about uploading the data to mytrackman.com but those videos are pretty choppy and I can't draw on them like he could in screen cast. I think if I can capture all the same data on my PC as he's getting I can do a lot of review at home afterwards.

    2. My pro has the yearly software subscription but I'm not clear if I try to do my suggestion on point 1 whether I also need a subscription (which I'm not willing to pay for) to connect my PC as a viewer (it seems like the IPAD version is free but I'm guessing it's missing functions from the PC version).

    3. My pro's PC isn't great and it runs the driving range/combine just fine but crashes constantly trying to play the simulation software. I have a good gaming PC so I'm wondering how hard it would be to use my PC to play a few holes as it would be simple to connect his projector to my PC but he's not going to want a huge effort here to do it occasionally. Does the annual subscription link to the TM unit, his PC, his login credentials or how does that work? I'm curious if it's as simple as me having TPS and being connected to his TM or if he has to log in to his account on my PC or if like TGC the license is linked directly to a PC so this won't work at all.

Thanks for any input. He's great about us figuring it out together and trying things (that don't wreck his setup) but I also prefer to use my lesson time for hitting balls and instruction versus figuring out technology so if I can learn here first that's ideal.

Edit: the PC of mine I reference is a laptop as I realized that isn't obvious from my post.

I think you need to own a TM to get the TPS software. As you know you can download the apps and the. Can connect those apps to the TM unit. Can’t remember how many you can connect, but had thought it was up to six for the camera app. In terms of drawing pics, does the camera app not give you what you need. I think the only thing you can do is use the my TM for the data from your pro. I do think TPS is by far the best software I have seen for a LM and it continuously gets better. In terms of sim, I suspect That your pros computer is likely a little outdated for the software they are using for sim now.

not sure if you have tried calling TM for answers to these questions, but I note that they are extremely helpful.
