Trackman Tournaments - Who wants in???

Hi all,
I have figured out how to play tournaments on your home Trackman and am wondering who would like to join an Order of Merit tour for the winter? If you are interested, please send me an email at m.andrew.burke@gmail.com and I will send you the instructions to get it up and running (TPS 7.3 is needed I believe) and we'll go from there.

How did you do it?

He has set up a facility and then invites you to create a virtual bay as part of the facility. You then get invites to tournaments etc. It’s not perfect, but is otherwise a very good solution to allow everyone to play.

Did anyone solve getting this setup on their own? I have created a facility but even once that is done and it has a couple golfers attached to it when I go to trackmanindoors.com I don't see any of the menus to create tournaments (just showing up as a normal user with no tournaments pending or played).

I'm hoping there was an easy fix as I'm exploring this for a less tech savvy friend so not sure how helpful TM support will be given it's not my unit.

The way I understand it is you create the tourney 1st then invite your players then you each play your rounds at your facility .... unless you are all playing at the same facility .... the people who are playing in a different location will start their rounds by joining .... starting up tps then under tournament start the designated tournament .... results after each hole take a while to show up ... hope this helps

The problem I have is I can’t actually create the tournament. When I log in to trackmanindoors.com it just says I’m not registered for tournaments but I don’t have any of the menus to create one.

I had the same issue .... you need to go online and enter chat once connected with a trackman representative they will register your facility
then you are good to go

Thanks. I was worried that would happen. The Trackman in question isn’t mine and the actual facility was fine with me doing it for the handful of us quietly if they didn’t need to be involved but not sure how eager Trackman will be to help me as a non owner.

So I made progress but this isn't quite how I envisioned this working. I had assumed once I got a facility setup I could invite players by having them as facility participants but if they logged in to a Trackman anywhere they could play. It looks like I need to register every Trackman device as a specific bay in the same facility which seems intrusive for people. Is this what others have done to play broader tournaments they've joined some random "facility". If so, can one device join more than one facility (I'd guess not).

I get that TM is generally more a commercial simulator and this seems like a very commercial solution.

I m not commercial and use it to play online tournaments organized by others. I have my facility and the one created by another user, in my tps. And it s true you had to use somebody else facility to join his tournament.
but recently, I got invited by a guy in Iceland who opened his tournament to Public. I just left my email address on the Trackman Facebook page where he posted his invitation. My bay was not part of his facility...so just using my email address was enough

So your Trackman serial number can be registered to more than 1 facility as a bay then?

I suspect this is a yes if you’ve got your own facility and you joined another one but I wanted to confirm before I do this. I’m doing this so a handful of friends of the manager can play tournaments at a friends facility and sort of as a trial run to see if it’s something they’d want to setup more broadly.

My big concern was I would lock one of his Trackman to my facility and if he wanted to set one up more officially we’d have to go through a bunch of steps to transfer the Trackman out of my facility to his.

My secondary concern was having to create a bay in my facility for each user (some of which are not local) so that people could play. It sounds like this part may not be necessary given your Iceland example. What’s not clear to me is if you hadn’t setup a facility yourself could you play these tournament rounds. If I was creating this at Trackman I’d set it up so a user could show up to any Trackman and log in to their account (whether an owner or just someone say renting time) and play their tournament.
