Spoke with Trugolf today. Not sure when new E6 will be ready. Doesn't look like a big change from the old.

I thought the update to e6 was suppose to be ready sometime this fall?

I just had an email from them and this plus through my discussions learned that 1.6 should be ready soon as it sounds like they are just getting the LM companies to sign off on their end not sure how long this will take, but sounds like it is getting closer. On the E6ii front, it sounds like that is moving forward and will likely be released in the near future as well. I am told 1.6 will not cost anything more for existing users, but that e6ii will come with an upgrade fee. Last year I was told the upgrade fee would be $2k.

I find it odd that e6 II still alive considering the web page no longer exists. Also, it doesn't make sense to update e6 if you're going to release e6 II in the near future. Did this come from a Trugolf rep?

This came from discussions with them directly. I believe the updates were expected to be released over the summer and also that updating is more difficult then planned. However, they are still indicating that the next gen will be released and that more was coming as well (sorry not sure what was meant by this). They also indicated that E6 may see a name change in the version after 1.6. While I'm only speculating, I suspect that the pictures that we see on the five fact Friday releases are what the 1.6 will look like that the next gen will likely need to be a huge update in order to compete with what else has been announced.

Cool. Thanks. I'm skeptical on the e6 II release but I hope they get it done. Competition is good.

Do you think E6 1.6 will be much different? Doesn't sound like a huge update. We'll see. Competition is good.

I think it may be different, I just read their five fact Friday notice and it seems like they are saying the changes will be pretty substantial.

                    Dax,

Saw you post about e6 update being delayed Winter 2015. Hope that doesn't mean end of next year. Are they beta testing it at the moment?

I think it is just buying them some morE time, but am hopeful from my discussions that it will be this year. From what I heard, the 1.6 update is done and that they are just doing their checks with the hardware guys like Trackman. So hopefully this will be out soon. I have no idea on where things are at re e6 ii, but hoping that this is not far behind. I did go for the putting add on as well as the old version. Just need to get it delivered and get up and running in my sim. I've been spending time these past couple of weeks on my home theatre as well so have too many projects on the go at the moment.

Ya, I have lots of doubts whether e6 II will ever make it to market. Certainly looked amazing 2 years ago. Please post a review of the TM and e6 1.6, along with how the putting works. Pictures too of course.

I will hope to have all delivered tomorrow. I will post some pics and will provide an initial review of ver 1.5. I need to set up my screen and projector and look for a way to get the light installed as well. I will also definitely review ver 1.6 when it is out as well.

Good read thanks, looks like another independent tour. If I was one of these companies I would rather invest half the money to start a small online community into an existing service. This would give the customer a better online experience. That would save my development dollars for hardware improvements. I thought Protee already had a interface to the e6 SW and a relationship with them as well.
