Hi Guys,
I'm finally back into looking at building out my simulator... It seems things have changed a little, in that TGC still does not have a Practice Range option, is that correct? Then, I see this post by Richard (I am going to swing up your way soon Richard and try out your ProTee sims, as you're only a short drive away for me):
I'm not sure what PP is Richard, which Sim are you referring to - is that P3Pro? Also, I'm curious, if you've tried most of the other sims, your view on the Practice Range in others, and how they compare? I'm just looking for basic stats, that I can gain from a Practice Range, distances per club, accuracy per club, and then take that to a Sim Course and see similar accuracy... In the end, it all comes down to accuracy, I don't want to end up practicing on something that is providing me with incorrect data.Originally posted by Richard_Askren View PostI just started having my customers use TGC the last couple days. I think all it mainly needs for me now is a practice mode like PP's. If it had a scramble mode already I'd probably have no reason to have E6. We'll see how it goes over the next couple weeks.
Thanks,
-Brett

Hey Brett, I ended up switching to using E6 on all of my sims currently. TGC is the best choice if you're just getting a personal simulator, but in my opinion E6 is currently best for commercial use. That being said TGC can work fine for commercial use, too, but E6 has the edge in the extra features it already has.

Richard, are those extra features primarily the Range? Unfortunately that feature is something I really want from TGC, and from what I see here, it's still not available even though they claim it's coming soon - as they have been saying for the last 6 months...
So, because (A Practice Range) is that important to me, I really have to weigh the differences on whether to continue to consider TGC, which is very unfortunate, because I like everything else about TGC especially the multitudes of courses available, that I will likely never get a chance to play using other sims!
So, you're thoughts on the Practice Range in E6 would be most helpful to me, screenshots would be useful too, if you can snap a few? I'm trying to see what I can get out of the E6.... on the other hand, I'll likely be visiting you in the next week or so, and you can show me firsthand ; )

No problem. Just give me a call first because I'm semi-closed for the Summer.
I'm open by reservation only right now. If you stop by I can show you the differences. I have TGC, E6 (not 1.6 yet), and ProTee Play on all of my machines. I'm not sure if ProTee still includes ProTee Play with their sim hardware along side TGC, but if so PP does have a decent practice range feature.

Looks like Trugolf is finally starting a beta test of their online tournaments this month.
starting in November, E6Golf will host two 9- or 18-hole stroke play tournaments and one closest-to-the-pin contest. These events are being offered as an important part of E6Golf’s BETA-testing process and are free-to-play. The more players that participate, the better…so we need your help in getting the word out.
The above is a quote from an email I rec'd from Trugolf. I guess I did my part

Tried sending you a message to support@egolf.com but the message keeps coming back undeliverable.
So my question is. Has a Skytrak user playing with a demo e6 can you still play in these tournaments or do you have to own the product?
