  • E6 connect events and clubhouses

I am currently weighing my options for software to purchase for my skytrak setup. I like the idea of tgc2019 tours for solo play. My main hold up is no scramble mode. I will be having weekly sessions with some friends. Some are newer players so scramble makes it less intimidating for them.
I was trying to get a feel for the solo online activity for those nights I used the setup solo. Clubhouses look like they have a little activity but nothing compared to tgc2019 with gross and net leaderboards. I couldn't find anything on current events. Can I view those somewhere outside the software? Any insight would be appreciated.

I think you ultimately have to ask yourself if you're putting this all together (and spending all this money) for your friends to enjoy it or for you to enjoy it.

One option with TGC is that people can play different sets of tees. So you can put the newcomers on a forward set of tees while more skilled players can play further back. And I think gimmie lengths can be set according to each player as well (could be wrong on that one though). You could also give them a certain number of mulligans per round to use as well.

E6 Connect has multiple tees which can be chosen per player, too. I don't think either TGC or E6 offers different gimme lengths per player.

Yes, my thinking was if he goes with E6 he can have scramble mode, which is what he was kind of after. So I was just offering up an option for beginner players if he goes the TGC route.

That's a great point. Probably better to buy for what it will be used as 90% of the time. Can also play best ball or something. Thanks for the reply
