  • E6 1.6 and Unusable Frame Rate

My hardware exceeds the system requirements by a good amount, but when I get into a round, the frame rate is atrocious, like less than 5fps. Does anyone else have this issue?

I am on a laptop, which is obviously not the best for gaming, but it is a high end gaming laptop, so should at least run at a usable frame rate, especially when all the specs are beyond the minimum. I wanted to run the demo and get a feel for it before deciding whether building a proper rig is worth it.

I noticed the same thing and just thought it was my old machine. I will have to check the specs and compare it to the requirements. During play, when you try to move the mouse, is your "tee" very slow on the screen as well?

Yes, even just moving the mouse (tee), it's EXTREMELY slow. I'll have to get in touch with Trugolf, because otherwise I'll just have to take a pass on considering it as an option.

Exactly like mine. I wonder if there was maybe a problem with the download. This would not be acceptable as is.

I've emailed them and will see what they have to say. The Golf Club runs just fine on the same laptop, so something isn't right.

Same problem here running it on a current version Macbook Pro i5 processor (bootcamp). The tee is painfully slow and the software is totally unusable

E6 will not run on any Mac Laptop, they haven't made one with a good enough graphics card. I've tried to run it with boot camp on my Mac Book Pro with no good results.

I have good performance (apart from short pitches and putting...)
My specs are fine for me:

              SHUTTLE SH67 h3
              32GB RAM
              CPU INTEL CORE I5 3450 3.1G 6M
              256GB SSD
              EVGA GeForce GTX 750TI Superclocked 2GB GDDR5 128BIT
              Wifi USB

Mine is a PC laptop, with the following specs:

                Intel Core i7-4720HQ Processor (2.60GHz 1600MHz 6MB)
                16.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz
                NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB
                512GB SSD

Everything listed is above the system requirements, so I'm not sure why it's having issues.

Please let me know your thoughts ASAP.

2 questions, 1-what resolution are you running? I don't see this being an issue unless you've been running multiple monitors, both at 1080p resolutions. 2. Do you have E6 set to use the discrete (NVIDIA) or the the Integrated graphics processor (i7) to run the graphics? There is a location in the windows settings where you can select which graphics processor runs each program individually. If I can find it I'll post it.

Thanks TruGolf! I didn't know on a laptop you could choose the GPU you wanted to use. I set e6 to use the NVIDIA chip and everything is smooth as silk

Well, my issue was that on the computer i had, the video card didn't meet the requirements which probably led to the issues i was seeing. I just upgraded my computer in preparation for whatever gets released for skytrak, and now i have no issues with the E6 software.

So I’m trying to run the demo on laptop w plenty of spec but it’s super slow and choppy. Tried the graphics fix per above but still slow - totally unplayable. Am I going to need to purchase a dedicated desktop?

Or it because I’m running the demo?

practice range and course are so slow....

Make sure you're using the graphics card on your PC. There were some issues with it using the PC on board graphics. GungHoGolf has a YouTube video about it

Thx! That solved it...big ups to GungHoGolf for the video.
