  • Using NFC tags for club selection

Hoping someone can offer some guidance on this idea. My idea is to place NFC stickers on my golf clubs and swipe them with a USB NFC reader that would send the computer my club selection. For instance I want to write 9 to the tag and have the computer recognize that and select 9 iron in TGC.

I can write the correct data to the blank NFC tag using my phone but when I swipe the tag the computer outputs the UID instead of the data I wrote to the tag. If anyone has experience with NFC tags and would like to help me on this idea I would greatly appreciate it.

Each NFC had a unique UID right? So have the computer do the assigning of that UID to each iron. You should be able to do this using a VB script where each NFC scan kicks the VB script off.

    If UID=9386637272537383736 then Club = 1.

Tben just have VB hit the 1 key. There’s probably other ways to do it. This one popped in my head first

Is this different than pushing a button? Bit of overkill in my books!

I'm thinking a floor mounted rfid reciever next to a club rack. When you pull out a club just touch the reciever and your good to go.

I have the Rmotion and have made som bad shots due to forgeting to change club on the keyboard. I have it a couple of steps from the mat.
