  • Dell Inspiron 5676 - Part PSA, Part Question

Just picked up this CPU with Ryzen 7 2nd Gen CPU and 16gb RAM at 2400MHz (a bit slow, admittedly). Comes with 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD.
Listed at $580, but $487 after coupon. Added 24" monitor for additional $84.
Refurbished laptops, desktop gaming computers, monitors, docks & servers on the cheap from Dell Outlet. READY TO SHIP laptops for sale. Up to 30% savings.

Memory is expandable to 32gb, and video card can be replaced if power supply upgraded. System has one USB 3.1-C port and five more USB 3.1.

Initially, going to use just as a driving range sim. I wanted expandability in case I move to a multiple camera setup and full sim golf.

I think it should be enough to handle initial needs. Anyone see issues running E6 Connect or other online offerings?

Maybe others up here have experience, but I myself will not go with an AMD product as some software incompatibilities could either cause slowness, or errors. I found this out myself about 15 years ago when I used to run AMDs for many years, until I ran into the incompatibility, nothing could be done but purchase an Intel Chipset CPU.

Maybe things have changed, and there are no issues with this anymore, but I'm afraid to risk it - let us know how it works out for you?

I was told by uneekor support that it is not compatible with AMD because I was looking to go that route. I'm not sure what LM you have or are planning on.

Thanks to you both for replying. I'm currently in a GSA Vistrak beta unit. A couple of months ago, GSA issued a notice it would not support AMD, which it has since retracted.

Based on my GSA experience, I suspect AMD compatibility issues may be related to camera drivers and firmware. Too bad about Uneekor, as that is what I would look at next if the GSA unit doesn't work out.
