  • Computer for Protee 2.0/TGC

Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal for $1000. I am getting a GC2 with FSX and I will buy TGC also. I'm not sure about computer specs and see a lot of conflicting spec on other posts

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi I am selling a Gaming Desktop with boxes, wires and extra parts. Price is negotiable. You also get nortan security with it, a wireless adapter, headset, mouse and all the games on it with the accounts since I won't be playing them anymore. The computer is only 2 months old and you can come over to check it out and see how it runs.

    Here are some specs.

CASE: Corsair Carbide Series 500R White Mid-Tower ATX/mA

POWER SUPPLY: Corsair 750 Watt Rm Series Fully Mod

    CPU: Intel Core i7-4790k Quad-core 40.Ghz 8mb 88W

    MOTHERBOARD: Asus Z97-A/USB3.1 LGA 1150 Z97 DDR3 PCIE 3.0

    RAM: 16 GB

    STORAGE: 465 GB

KEYBOARD: 10$ keyboard. I have a gaming one i can throw in too for free but I forgot its brand

    MOUSE: Razor Naga Death Adder

    OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 10

GRAPHICS CARD: GeForce GTX970 4 GB

    MONITOR: Asus MX279H 27" LED Monitor 1920X1080 5MS

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

If this will not work at a decent FPS can anyone suggest another I can purchase from amazon or another site? I was thinking my budget from computer and screen $2000.

    Thanks!

Here's one on slickdeals, but an i7 processor and nvidia gtx 980ti card..

HP offers their HP Envy 750se Core i7-6700 Gaming Desktop for $1135.39 when you follow the instructions below. Shipping is free. Tax in most states.

You can add a SSD disk drive and upgrade to a i7-6700k 4.0GHz if you want, and but will cost extra...
I personally added these options and the hp wireless mouse keyboard, very happy with the fps in TGC
    • HP Envy
    • Under Graphics Card, select 6GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti (+$580)
    • Under Power Supply, select 500W Power supply (+$30)
    • Under Networking, select HP Wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 1x1 w/ Bluetooth M.2 NIC (Stone Peak 1) (+$12)
    • Add to Cart
    • In cart, apply coupon code HPDESKTOPS

The video card and processor alone retail 1,000.00

Total should be $1135.39 with free shipping

SMurf 46&2's deal is the best deal I have seen on a sim computer in the past 2 months. I pulled the trigger 30 mins ago after waiting for another sale at ibuypower

I'm gona go for it. It's all the stuff at the bottom right? Highlighted stuff is the add ons? Would you suggest upgrading any of it from those options to be good for a few years if any new software comes?

You will get 60 fps easy on any golf software. My kids also play some pretty graphics intensive games on steam that are more demanding, (Ark evolution evolved), than any golf sim without issues. Now of course we're just playing 1080p with a projector, we don't have a 4K PC monitor or play at 1440p 144 Hz resolution , so I can't comment on games above 1080p.
