  • Get Better WIFI and Faster Connections

I have read several posts by guys using various systems and LM's that have had issues due to spotty WiFi service. There is a solution to improve dramatically your WiFi range. Here is a link to a powerline system that I purchased for $79. You basically get two units, you plug one into an electric outlet by your router and plug an ethernet cable from the router into the unit. The other unit you plug into an electric outlet by your simulator computer and connect an ethernet cable from the unit to back of your simulator computer. So, basically, instead of wirelessly receiving internet, you are using the electric wires of your house to transmit and it is fantastic. My simulator is in a garage about 150 feet from my router and was giving my a lot of drops.....with this, it is like I am connected directly to the router via ethernet.......best $79 I spent.

Hi Gene, while these are good, there are also some negatives. You will receive excellent wifi signal, however, depending on the wiring of your home, electric noise can dramatically deteriorate the quality and speed of your connection. It is advised never to plug them into an extension lead, or near where you have devices which draw large amounts of power, such as a washing machine, dryer, home cinema system (where multiple devices are active for tv, amp, cable box, other set top boxes etc) as they create too much noise on the line and can totally kill the connection. Also, you must use them on the same ring main, so if you have a separate breaker board in your garage, that can kill the signal too. All things which have to be taken into consideration.

Glad your setup is working well for you though

I have a similar setup and it works great as well. Worth a shot to people.

It can be a better option than boosters as they generally cut your speed in half for each additional booster you add.

Everything's worth a shot until you get a setup that works... preferably without breaking the bank balance lol
