Can't figure out what computer to buy!

I got my st, tgc software, projector and am starting my build but can't figure out which computer to buy.
so many choices!!

I need one to run tgc good with great visuals but don't want to spend a ton on it. Anyone know any good deal sites on refurbished?

You dont need i7. Save $100 and get an i5. It makes virtually no difference in games (GPU is what matters far more than CPU).

Nvidia 970 or above is good.

The Exterminator build (with nvidia 1060 GPU) would be good for TGC @ 1080p 60fps.

I have the PC specs shark mentioned. I5 and 970. Works great. 980 would be a little better. My FPS drops below 30. I don't care but others might.

Not enough power in the video card department for my liking.

The 960M series graphics cards are not as powerful as the standard 960's. Try to find one with a gtx1060 and you'll be styling.

Think of the GTX1060 as the base point for future proofing. I wouldn't go any lower than a 1060.

This will run TGC well and just about anything else you throw at it.

I recommend craigslist. My pc couldn't keep up w/my golf software and I didn't want to spend much on a gamer system. Lots of gamers out there are always wanting to upgrade and will dump their current setup for a better one. I got my system for $400 from a local gamer who needed to get rid of it and it screams.

Agreed. I did this as well and saved a lot of coin. You can usually tell by the description and pics on quality.
