Inexpensive but effective net?

I would just have it hanging from the top. Looks like a good option for now. Dont want to mess with replacing a net constantly

I think it is going to depend on your ball speed and how tight you have it set up. For me irons aren't very loud at all.

Yrrdead81 I got a quote from them for a 5x10 piece of delta impact panel. I can get an unfinished piece for 50 bucks, or a finished piece with grommets and all for 100. I was thinking of getting the unfinished piece and adding my own grommets. Not sure if the unfinished edges would be a big problem.

What is your opinion on the noise from irons on your screen? What is louder the screen or the club strike? Thanks for the help.

Im sure durability depends on ballspeed, and condition of golf balls. My cheap ebay net worked fine unil i started getting cuts in the balls from wedges. The portability of this ruknet would be handy instead of having to hang from ceiling.

My setup is in my basement so the sound really echoes. I hit mostly irons. The club strike is loud but the canvas dropcloth impact is what is loudest upstairs

Yeah the two Adj files you can hear the thump of the ball on the net, it's not bad but I have a single story not sure how it would be if you had a room above. I'm on a graveyard schedule so I'll hit balls at 3 in the morning without waking anyone up....so far anyway .

Previously I had one of the semi movable rukket popup net, which was much quieter but the netting was "softer". That is the only comparison I can personally make. Honestly the loudest part when you are hitting hybrids and woods is the club impact. Which is loud to me but higher frequency so it doesn't "travel". The lower frequency thud of ball into net travels more.

Okay recorded some sound files hopefully I can upload them. These are recorded in the garage and next to the two adjacent walls. I'm hitting pretty close to it the net (8') and all the ballspeeds were 147-148mph.

Thats the exact one I have. I have an impact screen I will be putting up but I have been hitting into that net since September. I had it left open outside also. Its lasted this long.

I am sure there are other better nets but I just wanted something portable I can throw up quickly if needed. There are fiberglass poles that flex at impact so i think it takes some tension of the netting vs rigid mount. I don't think it would last long if you hung on a frame you made.

I have no idea how long it will last but I wanted something cheap and I have been happy with it so far.

I'd email or call sportnetting and see if they will work with you on a smaller section, I can't emphasize enough how tough that netting (delta impact) is. That ruuknet is a joke compared to this stuff. I'll try and post some pics when I get home.

Using tarp clips you can stretch it out and get an ok picture. The black fabric behind is to give better picture quality beacuase the netting has alot of bleed through.

I checked that out on west coast netting. I have seen that PR20 screen advertised as an impact screen, didn't realize it was really archery netting. Is that what you have?

Im interested because you said it was quiet. My cheap net makes zero noise but when I hang a canvas sheet in front of it, its louder than the club striking the ball. Sounds like a bass drum and the wife hates it.
