I'm close to building out my golf simulator in the basement of my new home construction. One thing I'm wondering about what is the absolute bare minimum space required between screen and wall, and what steps can be taken to take this down to a minimum. The space is framed out and I have a stud about 8-10 inches from the wall and another 24-26 inches from the wall. The first one seems too close and the second is too far away for my liking.
Is there anything I can to make it work with the first stud, or do I need to have them add a stud in between? In either case, I'd like to have the screen as close to the wall as possible to maximize hitting space.
